finally we have official traile , two words about the specific project.
▪️In 2017 the series was announced with preproducrion starting.
▪️Dear Oda is an executive producer with a big role in casting the main actors and overseeing/correcting the script.
▪️Filming was completed last year in South Africa, entire sets/villages and full size ships were built. (fan fact on the same premises where Black Sails was filmed)
▪️We have so far a list of about 30 actors participating and more will be announced with the names of the Dragon, Roger and Smoker actors still being kept secret.
▪️The 10 (or 8) episodes of the first season will take us to the end of East Blue, i.e. to the entrance to the Grand Line (chapter 100).
▪️According to showrunner Matt Owens, the series will follow the manga as much as possible and their purpose is to reach Oda's story to a world that does not prefer anime/manga.
▪️We don't know the budget as Netflix rarely announces it. But from combinations of factors and producers it becomes clear that this is one of the biggest investments of the company comparable and
My opinion after years of following the developments is that something worthwhile is coming that has so far avoided the mistakes made by similar projects in the past!
What i am expecting? To be truthful almost not a single anime that adapted into a live action movie was good ! With few exceptions! One piece requires special CGI to be a good watch i hope that they can do it ! But i i have low expectations because of previous adaptations and because i love one piece and dont want to be disappointed!
But i am really excited to watch it !
I see long stretched hands is that part of the anime too...I think it'll be an interesting watch.

Hmm, thanks for the Information. I saw the trailer and upps, not interesting because my head al ready saving memory about GOOD ANIME version. Same with you, low expectationas they trailer not really promosing tho.

My relationship with One piece is a weird one. I love some earlier arcs( Arabasta , Water 7- Enies Lobby). But for some reason I really dislike one piece after time skip.
Well the tone of the series did change I also loved the marinefold arc it’s the best for me until now but the story is much more interesting now
I don't think this is gonna be good.
I have the same feeling but I do want to give it a chance because it’s one piece . As oda said the Japanese culture is completely different even for their live action
For some odd and strange reasons,I have refused to try one piece,the anime. I have no idea whether it's the outrageous number that's scaring me off or something else. Plus this night be silly but I don see any 'fine' character that catches my eye in the anime 🥲
sadly, for my household, it is on netflix, so we'll be missing out on it. However, it does look like it should be good. How they will handle the effects for Luffy's devil fruit power may be a bit challenging to get right, and hopefully they will get it right.
