Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite and join forces against Shadow, a new, powerful adversary with abilities they've never faced before. It's the third installment in the Sonic franchise. Does it manage to surpass its predecessors?

• The new character, Shadow, voiced by Keanu Reeves, is one of the film's strongest elements. - His backstory adds emotion and depth to the story.

• Jim Carrey, who plays a double role this time, is as delightful as ever.

• It's fun, and if you watch it for what it is, it'll entertain both kids and adults.

• The pacing is pretty fast.

• I liked how the movie explored themes of loss with the introduction of the new character.
  🔴🔴🔴🔴

• From a writing and directing perspective, it doesn’t innovate and sticks to safe territory.

• It remains more of a children’s movie than I’d prefer. For the third film, I was hoping for a slightly more "mature" tone, but they chose to play it safe.
  Predictable ending .

• James Marsden continues to be unremarkable, both as a character in the film and as an actor in general.

• The human element in the story, once again, lacks depth and feels more like guest appearances than integral parts of the plot.

• The introduction of the meta aspect doesn’t work successfully.

RED ONE

After the kidnapping of Santa Claus—codenamed Red One—the Head of Security at the North Pole must team up with a notorious bounty hunter to save Christmas. Will it become a Christmas classic? Not even close!

• Some mythical creatures in the film, like the snowmen who can commit murder on command, are mildly interesting.
• I also found the portrayal of Santa as being "ripped" slightly amusing... It was funny, but what’s the point?
• Thankfully, it has a fast pace.
• The initial concept is somewhat intriguing, but... that but .
• The ultra-modern North Pole with all the gadgets was interesting to see.

🔴🔴🔴🔴

• Some of the effects are quite sloppy and noticeable even to an untrained eye.
• The whole Krampus scene felt uninspired and boring.
• J.K. Simmons is underutilized.
• Chris Evans is bad, and Dwayne Johnson is consistently bad (so far, anyway).
• The movie felt dumb and pointless, a real narrative mess created solely to make money (which it didn’t, by the way ).
• It’s supposed to be a comedy… If anyone laughed at any point, I’d love to know where.
• Zero character development.
• Overflowing with clichés.
