What You Can Watching Tonight
Heart Eyes
For the past few years, a killer has been wreaking havoc on Valentine’s Day, hunting down and murdering romantic couples. This year, no couple is safe.
Yet another teen slasher…
The Good
- Mason Gooding manages to salvage the acting—at least a little.
- If you’re into gore, it has some decent slasher moments.
- A few meta references that might, I repeat might, make you smile.
- It doesn’t take itself seriously, which works in its favor.
- The pacing is… okay.
The Bad
- How many bad performances can you cram into one movie? Even the extras are terrible.
- Not scary at all—at least not for me.
- The so-called plot twist is painfully obvious if you’re even slightly genre-savvy.
- A predictable script full of clichés, with a plot that completely falls apart after a certain point.
- Tries to satirize a lot, which didn’t really click for me—but that’s just personal preference.
Adolescence
The story follows 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who suddenly finds himself at the center of a tragic case: he is accused of murdering a classmate.
You’ve probably heard about this by now, but if you haven’t—drop everything and watch it. It’s a masterpiece.
The Good
- The entire series is shot in a single take—A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Philip Barantini outdoes himself.
- Every single performance is excellent—from young lead Owen Cooper to even the smallest roles.
- A raw, honest, and brutal portrayal of modern British society. It’s gripping from start to finish.
- Themes like identity struggles, social pressures, alienation, violence, and consumerism are tackled simply yet powerfully.
- Jack Thorne’s writing is top-tier.
- The music perfectly complements the characters’ situations.
- Episode three is a gut punch.
- The finale is outstanding.
The Bad
- Despite being only four episodes, it has a slow burn pace. If you’re used to fast-paced storytelling, this might bother you. (Personally, I didn’t mind it.)

I didn't find that at all. It was shot in a way that simulated life. Life is a slow burn. No gimmicks. No eclipsed dull moments that fill every day. This sense of verisimilitude is one of the things that gave the show power.
You are right. Brilliant. Graham gets writing credits too, I believe. He was amazing.
It’s a series everyone should watch !!
