Hello to all lovers of cinema and bizarre movies! My interest today is to talk to you about a film that I had no idea even existed. First of all, I tell you that it is based on a cartoon called The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, which I watched sometimes when I was a child and although I liked it, it was not one of my favorites; Even so, I was quite fond of the cartoon and enjoyed the movie that came out in 2000, about the adventures of the squirrel and his friend the moose, outside the world of cartoons.

And it was precisely while I was watching a video of a YouTuber who was talking about the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie, that I heard about Boris and Natasha, a movie that had come out in 92 and, as I mentioned, I was totally unaware of. I was completely intrigued, since the YouTuber did not talk about her, since he considered that she must be very bad, so I ventured to search the platform and what do you think? It's available on YouTube, so I decided to watch it and I must say that I don't regret giving it a chance at all.

The story tells us how in the country of Pottsylvania, a scientist has been able to create the "reverse microchip", a small device that allows time to be frozen and turned back 3 seconds. A very powerful invention that could not only save lives, but is also capable of generating very serious consequences in the wrong hands. With that in mind, Scientist Polovich escaped from Pottsylvania, bound for the United States.

To go in search of him, the Leading Generalissimo hires the services of a special agent, Agent X for the task. Only given the risk of leaking into an enemy country, Agent X advises the general to send other spies with the same mission, to be bait while he follows them from the shadows. And for that suicidal task, the Generalissimo Leader immediately thinks of Boris and Natasha, faithful followers of the regime, but somewhat incompetent spies.

Without knowing anything about what will happen, once they meet the scientist and much less knowing the existence of Agent trust. After much difficulty, the spy duo manages to infiltrate the United States, as part of a deserter project. But as they begin to investigate the whereabouts of their target, Boris and Natasha begin to discover the secrets behind that mission, as well as the feelings they have towards each other.

It is quite interesting and, in my opinion, entertaining. From the first moment I was hooked, perhaps carried away by nostalgia for the films of the 90s. The initial theme, despite being absurd, generates different unexpected situations. If you have never seen the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon, don't worry, I think you can watch the movie and enjoy it just the same, since there is hardly any mention of the Rocky and Bullwinkle characters, not to mention that this is not a movie for children. . It is a more adult comedy, due to the use of weapons and the topic addressed. Before watching the movie, these villains didn't seem so relevant to me, but now, I think Boris and Natasha are my favorite characters within the Rocky and Bullwinkle universe.

Although spy, detective or action themes in general are not my favorites, I must confess that I really enjoyed the film. The same thing happens with humor, I consider that I have a very specific humor, which does not favor me, since very few comedy films really make me laugh and that prevents me from enjoying them. But in the case of Boris and Natasha, the typical humor of the 90s and the series was quite attractive to me and made me laugh on several occasions.

I loved the performances of the villains. Above all, I loved the character of Natasha, who in the film has short hair, instead of having it long, like in the cartoon. But, Natasha is an elegant and sexy villain, she exudes evil in a provocative way and became my favorite character. For this reason, I love that the film sought to further develop this character and his feelings towards Boris, his partner in crime, as well as Natasha, who discovers her fascination with the show.

However, although I loved that Natasha opened her eyes and came out of her fascination with Boris to become a more independent woman, making Boris himself begin to see her differently, I regretted that all of that was lost in the end. movie's ending. That is to say, for a moment they make you think that Boris and Natasha's relationship is really going to go in another direction, but again, Natasha falls into submission again and Boris... is still the clueless Boris. But hey, at least "the attempt was made."

Another attraction that the film has for me is the use of the narrator. I love that they used the narrator! Not only because it connects you with the original cartoon show, but it explains things in such a fun and witty way, as well as using jokes that break the fourth wall, that make the experience quite interesting, taking you out of the tedium that It could lead to a spy comedy movie.

But definitely what I didn't like was that it had the typical ending of "everything they did was for nothing", because that's what it makes you feel when everything ends. Still, the detail of them generating time travel during an explosion seemed very Wow!, because I got it into my head that I was really watching this during the 90s and those themes were very "futuristic" haha.

In conclusion, it's a pretty absurd movie, but as I mentioned, I loved it and I'm so glad I found it. I have even encouraged myself to look for more material from the cartoon (according to my research, they released some animations a few years ago), as well as, I would like to make a few fanarts of this couple of spies or at least, of the lovely Natasha, because then of this movie, I was in love with that character haha ​​I recommend it!

¡Hola a todos los amantes del cine y de las películas bizarras! Mi interés el día de hoy es hablarles acerca de un filme que no tenía la más remota idea de que siquiera existía. Antes que nada, les comento que está basado en una caricatura llamada Las aventuras de Rocky y Bullwinkle, la cual, veía en ocasiones cuando era niña y aunque me gustaba, no era de mis favoritas; aún así, le guardé bastante cariño a la caricatura y disfruté la película que salió en el año 2000, acerca de las aventuras de la ardilla y su amigo el alce, fuera del mundo de las caricaturas.

Y fue precisamente mientras miraba un video de un youtuber que hablaba sobre la película de Rocky y Bullwinkle, que oí hablar de Boris y Natasha, una película que había salido en el año 92 y como mencioné, desconocía totalmente. Quedé completamente intrigada, ya que el youtuber no habló sobre ella, ya que consideraba que debía de ser malísima, así que me aventuré a buscar en la plataforma y ¿Qué creen? Está disponible en Youtube, así que me animé a verla y debo decir que no me arrepiento para nada de haberle dado una oportunidad.

La historia nos narra como en el país de Pottsylvania, un científico ha podido crear el "microchip inverso", un pequeño aparato que permite congelar el tiempo y retrocederlo 3 segundos. Un invento poderosísimo que podría no sólo salvar vidas, sino que también, es capaz de generar gravísimas consecuencias en las manos equivocadas. Con eso en mente, el Científico Polovich, se fugó de Pottsylvania, con rumbo Estados Unidos.

Para ir en su búsqueda, el Generalísimo líder, contrata los servicios de un agente especial, el Agente X para la labor. Sólo que ante el riesgo de filtrarse en un país enemigo, el Agente X le aconseja al general que envía a otros espías con la misma misión, para que sean el cebo mientras él, los seguirá desde las sombras. Y para aquella labor suicida, el Generalísimo Líder piensa inmediatamente en Boris y Natasha, unos fieles seguidores del régimen, pero espías un tanto incompetentes.

Sin saber nada de lo que ocurrirá, una vez que se encuentren con el científico y mucho menos conociendo la existencia del Agente X, Boris y Natasha aceptan la orden de su líder, con la idea de que se trata de un trabajo importante y de alta confianza. Tras mucha dificultad, el dúo de espías logra infiltrarse en los Estados Unidos, como parte de un proyecto de desertores. Pero a medida que empiezan a investigar sobre el paradero de su objetivo, Boris y Natasha empiezan a descubrir los secretos detrás de aquella misión, así como lo sentimientos que tienen el uno hacia el otro.

Es bastante interesante y a mi parecer, entretenida. Desde el primero momento quedé enganchada, quizás llevada por la nostalgia de las películas de los años 90. El tema inicial, a pesar de ser absurdo, va generando diferentes situaciones inesperadas. Si nunca vieron la caricatura de Rocky y Bullwinkle, no se preocupen, pienso que se puede ver la película y disfrutarla igualmente, ya que apenas se hace mención de los personajes de Rocky y Bullwinkle, sin mencionar que ésta, no es una película para niños. Es una comedia más adulta, por el uso de armas y el tema que se aborda. Antes de ver la película, estos villanos no me parecían tan relevantes, pero ahora, pienso que Boris y Natasha son mis personajes favoritos dentro del universo de Rocky y Bullwinkle.

A pesar de que los temas de espías, detectives o de acción en general, no son de mis favoritos, debo confesar que disfruté muchísimo el filme. Lo mismo ocurre con el humor, considero que tengo un humor muy específico, lo cual no me favorece, puesto que muy pocas películas de comedia me causan gracia realmente y eso, evita que las pueda disfrutar. Pero en el caso de Boris y Natasha, el humor típico de los 90 y de la serie, fue bastante atractivo para mí y me hizo reír en varias ocasiones.

Las actuaciones de los villanos me encantó. Sobre todo, me encantó el personaje de Natasha, quien en el filme, tiene el cabello corto, en lugar de tenerlo largo, como en la caricatura. Pero, Natasha es una villana elegante y sexy, desprende la maldad de un modo provocativo y se volvió mi personaje favorito. Por eso, me encanta que en la película, se buscase de desarrollar más éste personaje y sus sentimientos hacia Boris, su compañero en el crimen, así como Natasha, descubre su fascinación por el espectáculo.

Mas sin embargo, aunque adoré que Natasha abriera los ojos y saliera de su fascinación de Boris para volverse una mujer más independiente, logrando que hasta incluso, el propio Boris, comenzara a verla de modo distinto, lamenté que dodo eso, se perdiera al final de la película. Es decir, por un momento te hacen pensar que realmente la relación de Boris y Natasha, va ir por otro rumbo, pero de nuevo, Natasha vuelve a caer en la sumisión y Boris... sigue siendo el despistado Boris. Pero bueno, al menos "se hizo el intento".

Otro de los atractivos que para mí tiene el filme, es el uso del narrador ¡Amo que usaran el narrador! No sólo porque te conecta con el show original de la caricatura, sino que explica las cosas de una forma tan divertida e ingeniosa, así como usando chistes que rompan la cuarta pared, que hacen que la experiencia, sea bastante interesante, sacándote del tedio que puede llegar a generar una película de comedia de espías.

Pero definitivamente lo que no me gustó, fue que tuviera el típico final de "todo lo que hicieron, fue para nada", porque eso es lo que te hace sentir cuando todo acaba. Aún así, el detalle de que generasen un viaje en el tiempo durante una explosión, me pareció muy ¡Wow!, porque me metí en la cabeza que realmente estaba viendo esto durante los años 90 y esos temas, eran muy "futuristas" jaja.

En conclusión, es una película bastante absurda, pero como mencioné, la adoré y me alegro muchísimo de haberla encontrado. Hasta me he animado a buscar más material de la caricatura (según investigué, sacaron unas animaciones hace unos años atrás), así como, me gustaría hacer unos cuantos fanarts de esta pareja de espías o por lo menos, de la encantadora Natasha, porque luego de ésta película, quedé flechada por ese personaje jaja ¡Se las recomiendo!
