Hello to all movie lovers! Like the vast majority, I grew up watching the Disney classics, coming to see the movies I had at home so many times, that I ended up learning them by heart ha ha but despite that, we didn't get bored and sometimes my brothers and I played to represent our favorite characters from the movies that our parents put us to sleep every night. Over the years, I was able to find out a little more about those children's stories and realize that they were not as attached to the original stories. Even so, I always treasured in my memory those movies from my childhood. I have not seen all the live actions of the Disney movies that have come out, but if I would like to and as expected, take the opportunity to talk about them here. And following that concept, today, I'll talk about the live action of "The Little Mermaid", to begin with.

The story begins when King Triton, regent of the Atlantica city, when attending the meeting with his daughters, notices that one of them is missing. Ariel, the youngest of all, is a curious, adventurous mermaid who loves the unknown. She dreams of being able to see the human world and experience all the earthly wonders. Her passion is collecting lost objects of humans, which she collects from sunken ships and then she jealously guards in a cave. That place is her refuge, because being there, her imagination eager for her, she begins to rise to the surface. And it was precisely because of her passion, that she missed the meeting with her father, since she risked going to a forbidden zone in search of new and interesting objects. While she was checking the boat with her best friend, the fish Flounder, they are suddenly attacked by a shark, managing to flee completely safely. Ariel, she's glad not only to be rid of the shark, but the new items she's gotten for her collection. In a safe area Scuttle, a bird that is Ariel's friend, appears and gives her information about the usefulness of the items she has acquired. At this moment the crab Sebastian, musician of the royal court, who has been sent by King Triton to look for her daughter, finds her after looking for her everywhere and she realizes that she has forgotten the meeting. She then knows that she has gotten herself into serious trouble.

After her father's reprimand, the girl locks herself in her beloved cave to observe her collection. It is at that moment that she notices some lights coming from above and she decides to go to the surface to find out what it is, finding fireworks in the sky. A ship, belonging to Prince Eric, is having a party since the young man has a birthday. Eric is a lover of the sea and one of the things that has caught his attention the most is the sailors' story about the enigmatic mermaids. Ariel watches the entire event from afar, as it is the first time she has seen humans so closely. Suddenly a storm begins that causes all the men to have to get into the lifeboats. In his attempt to help his crew, the prince falls into the sea where he is saved by Ariel from drowning. The mermaid takes him to the surface and sings him a song that the prince is able to hear in her unconsciousness. Before Eric fully comes to his senses and can see his savior, Ariel flees as she realizes the men are approaching, promising the prince that they will meet again.

The meeting with the prince leaves the mermaid more enchanted on the surface and despite Sebastian trying to convince her otherwise, she does not change her mind, much less after her father destroyed her beloved collection. Taking advantage of that opportunity, Úrsula enters the scene, who is known as the witch of the ocean. She has been watching the princess and plans to use her to get revenge on her father for having exiled her from the palace. Úrsula promises Ariel not only that she will turn her into a human, but that she will manage to win the heart of her lover. In return, she has to give him her siren voice, so she will be unable to speak, but assures her that such a detail is not necessary in the face of the power of love. She warns him that that spell lasts for three days and in that period of time, the mermaid has to get the prince to give her a true love kiss or else something terrible will happen. Carried away by her feelings, the naive mermaid signs the contract with the witch and begins the countdown to obtaining that kiss of true love.

! [personal opinion] Before seeing the film, I had already heard and read different opinions and criticisms. It is no secret to anyone that in today's times, all projects, before coming to light, receive a massive wave of comments, both positive and negative, which inevitably end up dotting our criteria. Still, I like to see things first before judging them lightly.
In my case, regardless of the change in the protagonist, I loved that they kept the original soundtrack. The songs from those children's movies stayed in my memory despite the years and hearing them again was quite pleasant. Also despite some slight changes compared to the animated version, for the most part, it continues to maintain its essence. Yes, I admit that I saw it more as a kind of "soap opera", but I can say that it was really enjoyable.
Something that I also liked was the design of the clothes (I don't know whether to say it that way), of Ariel's sisters and the other inhabitants of Atlántica. I love everything colorful and flashy, so it was inevitable hehe
It's not the best live action movie I've seen, but in my opinion, it's pretty decent compared to others that maybe I'll come to tell you about the case.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del cine! Como la gran mayoría, crecí viendo los clásicos de Disney, llegando a ver las películas que tenía en casa tantas veces, que acababa por aprenderlas de memoria ja ja pero a pesar de eso, no nos aburríamos y en ocasiones, mis hermanos y yo jugábamos a representar nuestros personajes favoritos de las películas que nuestros padres nos ponían cada noche para dormir. Con el pasar de los años, pude averiguar un poco más acerca de esos cuentos infantiles y darme cuenta de que no eran tan apegados a las historias originales. Aún así, siempre atesoré en mi memoria, aquellas películas de mi infancia. No he visto en su totalidad todos los live actions de las películas de Disney que han salido, pero si me gustaría hacerlo y como es de esperarse, aprovechar para hablarles sobre ellos aquí. Y siguiendo ese concepto, el día de hoy, les hablaré del Live action de "La Sirenita", para empezar.

La historia comienza cuando el rey Tritón, regente de la ciudad Atlántica, al asistir a la reunión con sus hijas, se percata de que falta una de ellas. Ariel, la más joven de todas, es una sirena curiosa, aventurera y amante de lo desconocido. Ella sueña con poder conocer el mundo humano y experimentar todas las maravillas terrenales. Su pasión es coleccionar objetos perdidos de los humanos, los cuales recolecta de navíos hundidos y luego guarda celosamente en una cueva. Aquel lugar es su refugio, pues estando allí, su imaginación ávida, comienza a subir a la superficie. Y fue precisamente por su pasión, que se perdió la reunión con su padre, dado que se arriesgó a ir a una zona prohibida en busca de nuevos e interesantes objetos. Mientras revisaba la embarcación junto a su mejor amigo, el pez Flounder, son atacados repentinamente por un tiburón, logrando huir completamente a salvo. Ariel, se alegra no sólo de haberse librado del tiburón, sino de los objetos nuevos que ha conseguido para su colección. En una zona segura Scuttle, un ave que es amiga de Ariel, aparece y le da la información sobre la utilidad de los objetos que ha adquirido. En éste momento el cangrejo Sebastián, músico de la corte real, que ha sido enviado por el rey Tritón a buscar a su hija, la encuentra luego de buscarla por todos lados y ésta, se percata de que ha olvidado la reunión. Sabe entonces que se ha metido en serios problemas.

Tras la reprimenda de su padre, la chica se encierra en su amada cueva a observar su colección. Es en ese momento en que se percata de unas luces que surgen desde arriba y decide ir hasta la superficie para averiguar de qué se trata, encontrándose con fuegos artificiales en el cielo. Un navío, perteneciente al príncipe Eric, se encuentra de fiesta dado que el joven está de cumpleaños. Eric es un amante del mar y una de las cosas que más le ha llamado la atención, es la historia de los marinos acerca de las enigmáticas sirenas. Ariel observa todo el evento desde lejos, pues es la primera vez que ve a los humanos tan de cerca. De pronto comienza una tormenta que provoca que todos los hombres tengan que subir a los botes salvavidas. En su intento por ayudar a su tripulación, el príncipe cae al mar en donde es salvado por Ariel de morir ahogado. La sirena lo lleva hasta la superficie y le canta una canción que el príncipe es capaz de oír en su inconciencia. Antes de que Eric recobre del todo el sentido y pueda ver a su salvadora, Ariel huye al darse cuenta de que los hombres se acercan, prometiéndole al príncipe que volverán a reunirse.

El encuentro con el príncipe, deja la sirena queda más encantada acerca de la superficie y a pesar de que Sebastián trata de convencerla de lo contrario, ella no cambia de parecer y mucho menos, luego de que su padre destruyera su amada colección. Aprovechando esa oportunidad, entra en escena Úrsula, quién es conocida como la bruja del océano. Ella ha estado observando a la princesa y piensa utilizarla para poder vengarse de su padre por haberla exiliado del palacio. Úrsula, le promete a Ariel no sólo que la convertirá en humana, sino que logrará hacerse con el corazón de su amado. A cambio, tiene que darle su voz de sirena, por lo que será incapaz de hablar, pero le asegura que ese detalle no es necesario ante el poder del amor. Le advierte que aquel hechizo, tiene una duración de tres días y en ese lapso de tiempo, la sirena tiene que conseguir que el príncipe le dé un beso de amor verdadero o de lo contrario, pasará algo terrible. Llevada por sus sentimientos, la ingenua sirena firma el contrato con la bruja y comienza la cuenta regresiva por la obtención de aquel beso de amor verdadero.

Antes de ver la película, ya había oído y leído, distintas opiniones y críticas. Para nadie es un secreto que en la época actual, todos los proyectos antes de salir a la luz, reciben una ola masiva de comentarios, tanto positivos o negativos, que inevitablemente acaban salpicando nuestro criterio. Aún así, me gusta ver las cosas primero antes de juzgarlas a la ligera.
En mi caso, indiferentemente del cambio en la protagonista, me encantó que mantuviesen el soundtrack original. Las canciones de aquellas películas infantiles, se quedaron en mi memoria a pesar de los años y volver a oírlas, fue bastante agradable. También a pesar de algunos ligeros cambios en comparación a la versión animada, en su mayoría, sigue manteniendo la esencia de la misma. Si, admito que la vi más como una especie de "telenovela", pero puedo decir que fue realmente disfrutable.
Algo que también me gustó, fue el diseño de las vestimentas (no sé si decirle de ese modo), de las hermanas de Ariel y de los demás habitantes de Atlántica. Me encanta todo lo colorido y llamativo, así que era inevitable je je
No es la mejor película live action que he visto, pero en mi opinión, es bastante decente a comparación a otras que tal vez, venga a relatarles de presentárseme el caso.
