Buenos días, tardes o noches, damas y caballeros. ¿Cómo se encuentran? Espero que muy bien, respecto a mí he estado un poco desaparecido por acá pero siempre es buen momento para volver con la reseña de alguna película. También he querido quizás de hablar de un anime como tal pero no he podido porque me la paso viendo otra vez animes que ya vi con mi hermana y con mi mamá, por lo que estoy un poco limitado, pero qué se le hace. La película del cual les voy a hablar en esta ocasión la conocí por la anterior película de la que hablé acá, donde hacían una versión moderna de la bella y la bestia, tengo entendido que es del mismo director y estudio, después de investigar un poco vi que consideran esta como la obra magna del director tanto que llegó a ser nominada a los Oscar's pero perdió contra el sólido Spiderman, para que estés atento en esta ocasión la película te recordará sí o sí sin importar el qué a Cuento de Navidad de Charles Dickens, la estructura es bastante familiar y lo hace llamativo, no sé si las demás obras del director hagan homenajes también a otros cuentos pero con ésta, ya van dos (aunque en esta ocasión diría que está mejor logrado todo). Así que sin más dilación, hablemos un poco acerca de Mirai no Mirai o Mirai, mi hermana pequeña.

Good morning, afternoon or evening, ladies and gentlemen. How are you? I hope very well, as for me I have been a little absent around here but it is always a good time to come back with a review of a movie. I have also wanted to perhaps talk about an anime as such but I haven't been able to because I spend my time watching animes that I have already seen with my sister and mom, so I am a little limited, but what can you do. The movie I am going to talk to you about this time I found out about from the previous movie I talked about here, where they made a modern version of Beauty and the Beast, I understand it is from the same director and studio, after doing some research I saw that they consider this as the director's magnum opus so much so that it was nominated for an Oscar's but lost to the strong Spiderman, so be attentive this time the movie will surely remind you of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, the structure is quite familiar and it makes it appealing, I don't know if the director's other works also pay homage to other stories but with this one, that's two (although this time I would say that everything is better executed). So without further ado, let's talk a little about Mirai no Mirai or Mirai, my little sister.

La película nos pone en la piel de un niño de cuatro años llamado Kun, él es muy feliz por acaparar la atención de sus padres, recibiendo todo el cariño y amor que todo niño se merece pero todo cambiará cuando nazca su hermanita, Kun al principio estará emocionado, quiere hacer muchas con ella pero dejará de lado todo eso al notar que sus padres ahora se enfocan más en su pequeña hermana, por lo que Kun durante ocasiones hará todo lo posible para llamar la atención y así hacer que pongan atención en él, llegando al punto de tratar mal a su hermanita Mirai, por ejemplo llegando a pegarle con sus trenes de juguete. En una ocasión donde Kun hace un berrinche y sale al "patio" de su casa, se transportará a una dimensión diferente donde irá conociendo personas relacionadas con su árbol genealógico tanto del pasado como del futuro, estando entre ellas su hermana pero ya grande Mirai, quien le enseñará que debe cuidarla mientras sea pequeña. Y es que la historia se resume en eso, nuestro protagonista Kun es transportado por diferentes épocas para aprender diferentes valores, siendo el más importante tener aprecio por su familia y valorar a su pequeña hermana, algo que le costará un poco de aceptar.

The movie puts us in the shoes of a four-year-old boy named Kun, he is very happy to have the attention of his parents, receiving all the love and affection that every child deserves but everything will change when his little sister is born, Kun at first will be excited, wanting to do many things with her but will set aside all that when he notices that his parents are now focusing more on his little sister, so Kun will do everything possible at times to get attention and make them focus on him, reaching the point of mistreating his sister Mirai, for example, hitting her with his toy trains. On one occasion when Kun has a tantrum and goes to the "yard" of his house, he will be transported to a different dimension where he will meet people related to his family tree from both the past and the future, among them his older sister Mirai, who will teach him that he must take care of her while she is young. The story is summarized in that, our protagonist Kun is transported across different eras to learn different values, with the most important one being to cherish his family and value his little sister, something that he will find a bit challenging to accept.

El mensaje principal de la película es el crecimiento personal, el mejorar en cada aspecto de la vida y no quedarse estáticos con la misma manera de ser, además se nos enseña a apreciar aquellos pequeños momentos en familia que pueden perdurar por el tiempo. Cualquiera pensaría que la película nada más trata sobre los dos hermanos y cómo van poco a poco mejorando su relación pero también vemos cómo se abarca la situación desde el punto de vista de los padres, sobre cómo se sienten y cómo van mejorando día a día sobre el cuidado de sus hijos, llegándose a sentirse orgullosos de ellos mismos y apoyándose el uno al otro. El adaptarse y aceptar nuevos roles puede ser muy difícil pero con el esfuerzo y empeño necesario se puede lograr el cambio, no es fácil hacer las cosas por primera vez, nadie nace aprendido pero conforme vas aprendiendo puede que hasta incluso te diviertas en el camino, también pueden haber altibajos como gritos o malas caras debido al estrés pero lo importante no es enfocarse en eso. Mi personaje favorito de toda la película podría decir que es el bisabuelo, dejándole una gran lección a Kun sobre nunca rendirse a pesar de tener miedo, muy tierno también el hecho de que lo haya confundido con su padre.

The main message of the movie is personal growth, improving in every aspect of life and not being static with the same way of being, also teaching us to appreciate those small family moments that can last over time. Anyone would think that the movie only addresses the two brothers and how they gradually improve their relationship, but we also see how the situation is approached from the parents' point of view, about how they feel and how they are improving day by day in taking care of their children, feeling proud of themselves and supporting each other. Adapting and accepting new roles can be very challenging but with the necessary effort and determination, change can be achieved. It is not easy to do things for the first time, no one is born knowing everything, but as you learn, you may even have fun along the way. There may also be ups and downs like shouting or frowns due to stress, but the important thing is not to focus on that. My favorite character in the whole movie could be the great-grandfather, leaving Kun a great lesson about never giving up despite being afraid, also very touching that he confused him with his father.

En cuanto a la animación de la película podría decirse que es bastante sencilla pero muy buena trazos simples y agradables a la vista que han venido desde hace mucho tiempo caracterizando a este estudio de animación, en algunos casos se hace uso de CGI pero es casi imperceptible, tienes que tener un buen ojo, además si has visto Belle, sabes que ellos tienen un buen manejo en este apartado. Si tenemos que hablar de la banda sonora podría decir que es cumplidora sin más, cada canción cumple su función de acompañar las escenas mostradas en pantalla, no encontrarás algo que te cambie la vida o te haga ir a buscar para escuchar una y otra vez. Lo único que no me llegó a gustar es la actitud tan irritante que tiene Kun durante ciertas partes de la película pero técnicamente lo puedo llegar a comprender porque es un niño pequeño, por lo que podríamos decir que es un aspecto que está bien hecho y conseguido, se logra transmitir esa sensación de ser un niño real que vive situaciones reales, rodeado de personas reales, aunque a su vez la película consigue mezclar a la perfección todo esto con la fantasía haciendo el desarrollo de la historia mucho más divertido. Sin dudas es algo que recomendaría, apta para ver en familia con los más chicos para que también aprendan el valosio mensaje que se quiere transmitir.

Regarding the animation of the movie, it could be said that it is quite simple but very good, with simple and pleasant strokes that have been characteristic of this animation studio for a long time. In some cases, CGI is used but it is almost imperceptible; you have to have a good eye. Also, if you have seen Belle, you know that they have good mastery in this aspect. If we have to talk about the soundtrack, it could be said that it is adequate, nothing more. Each song fulfills its function of accompanying the scenes shown on the screen; you won't find something that changes your life or makes you want to listen to it over and over again. The only thing that I didn't like is the somewhat irritating attitude that Kun has during certain parts of the movie, but technically I can understand it because he is a little child. So, we could say that it is an aspect that is well done and achieved; it manages to convey that feeling of being a real child living real situations, surrounded by real people. However, the movie manages to mix all this perfectly with fantasy, making the development of the story much more enjoyable. Without a doubt, it is something I would recommend, suitable for watching with the whole family, so that even the little ones can learn the valuable message that is meant to be conveyed.
