Otro recurso que me gusta en este caso demasiado, es el cómo logró hacer toda la ciudad tan tétrica y lúgubre, de verdad sientes que no es un lugar seguro en lo absoluto, usualmente suelo quejarme de ambientaciones oscuras pero acá encaja perfectamente con las sensaciones que se intentan transmitir al espectador, esa inseguridad y suciedad. El actor que más destaca sin dudas durante toda la cinta es Morgan Freeman, se impone ante todos los demás y eso sin tener que hacer escenas bastante movidas, su personaje consigue ser interesante y tener ese toque de complejidad. En cuanto a Brad Pitt consigue lograr un excelente rol dramático, que tengo entendido que este es uno de sus primeros. Un dato curioso sobre esta película es que se plantearon varios finales pero al final se optó por el que se tenía pensado originalmente más un pequeño añadido, siendo éste la pequeña narración de Somerset, si buscas podrás hasta encontrar un storyboard con uno de los tantos finales que se llegaron a plantear para la película, sin dudas mejor que hicieron fue dejar el primer final, ese sabor amargo le da ese toque a la película que la complementa.
