Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen --- was so therapeutic!

I've been so busy with work and other stuff in real life that I didn't have enough time to actually sit down and binge-watch anime. I could read some manga, though. It's much easier because I could stop in the middle of reading when I need to work, but it just doesn't work that well for anime.

Since it's cut-off today (at work), I decided to take the afternoon off. I'll be busy with work this weekend, so I might as well take this chance to have at least a half day off. And so, I could watch Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen or My New Boss is Goofy... and boy it was so damn therapeutic. I feel so healed and refreshed. <3

Let's talk about it!

NOTE: Aside from this first photo, they're all screenshots from the anime.

One of the main characters, Momose Kentaro (the guy wearing a blue suit), decided to quit his job and join a new company. The reason for this is that he could no longer tolerate his abusive boss from the previous company. Momose was traumatized and later developed some health problems because of it.

Contrary to his experience with his boss in the previous company, he got himself a capable and well-admired new boss. But due to his previous trauma, Momose is scared of letting his new boss down, so he kind of puts pressure on himself.

He need not worry though, because his new boss is dependable, approachable and super caring... there's just one thing, he's extremely clumsy and eccentric but in the cutest and goofiest way possible.

Watch the anime to witness Momose's new work life with his goofy boss!

As I've written in my title, the series was so therapeutic. I mentioned that I've been busy with work and other stuff, so watching this anime was the right move for me. It healed my heart and my mind.

My fujoshi/fudanshi friends and I often claim that reading or watching BL (Boy's Love) is our healing... and this isn't any different. Although it isn't BL, they had a bunch of cute and almost-BL moments together... that if we only look at the screenshots I shared above, people would definitely believe it's a BL anime. haha They're so fluffy... my heart is mushy! XD

Aside from the two main characters, there were also a bunch of lovable and adorable side characters. From the top photo, we got Shirosaki's (the boss)
older brother who looks like Asahi from Haikyuu! hahah

There are also their co-workers, Aoyama and Kinjou... who would definitely pass as a side couple if this were BL. haha Kinjou (with gray hair) is an otaku... and he has a similar experience as Momose in terms of his previous company.

And ohh... grandma! She's so adorable that I want to take her home.

But among all the characters, these two fluffballs are the best! Hakutou (the cat) is found by both Momose and Shirosaki. The latter adopted him... the scenes with Hakutou are always so heartwarming they made me cry multiple times. <3

As for the round bear mascot, it's called Kumatte-chan. He's Aoyama's savior! haha I'm laughing because I remember a bunch of funny scenes, but Kumatte-chan's role is also very significant, especially for Aoyama. <3

I truly enjoyed it and love it! This anime is definitely among the top list of my comfort anime. I don't have a boss since I don't work at the office and my job is somehow considered freelance, but if I were to have a boss, I'd surely want one like Shirosaki. He's absolutely a great motivation to go to the office every day. hahaha

Sometimes, watching anime like this is more than enough to make me feel relaxed and happy. It's pretty chill and it feels like we're just watching non-toxic people living their lives. Pretty much reminds me of my two other comfort anime, Gakuen Babysitters and Sanrio Danshi.

I've talked a lot, so I'll just leave this trailer here. I hope your heart and soul are healed by watching this anime... just like me. haha Thanks for reading and see you around! Good night from this side of the world! (^^,)/

😮 fujoshi in sight. How nice that you found a story that you will like. I'm glad, because it's always necessary to be able to disconnect from work. Sometimes, just sometimes the routine is so hard.

With what a boss... 🤔
