Cinetv contest: Movie Review Jade

I had just finished rehearsal so I decided to stack my Phone with some movies for the weekend and that's how I just saw the movie pop up. No recommendation, nothing I just decided to watch.

The main character Jade, who grew up with her brother all alone, left to fend for for themselves after the demise of there parents, who where brutally murdered in London.

But again they needed Some help and guidance which would put them in the right track, they found Some one, but he disappeared when Jade was 13 years old leaving the duo all alone by themselves.

Jade and her brother moved to a different City to start life again, especially after what happened to their parents ,quite the reason for a fresh start.

Yet the fresh Start was not so fresh as a goodnight sleep became luxury. the Sound of gunshot was as constant as music in a house Party. it was so often one could smell that the air has a mix with of fires from gunshots.

There was constant threats to the peace they both seeked , but what to do ? Life became dangerous , that they had to join a club reluctantly for Protection but that club was affiliated to organized Crime.

Then frying pan to fire Situation happened and Jade accidentally ended her brother's in a Cross-fire shoot out ending Brian's life.

After the Incident Jade felt really wounded and vowed to not shot another gun ever again.

Now all she does is walk in between a very thin line of grieve and guilt to avoid getting herself snuffed out she stopped Trusting anyone but her own Instincts.

dropping the gun didn't mean she wasn't strapped for anything to come. She wasn't defenseless,she made anything a weapon including a comb. But her best was the Sword 🗡️.

She lives as the Day goes but, has someone she needs to look out for Layla, her late brother's pregnant girlfriend.

In all of these her friend Logan consider's her an asset and gives her a hard drive to hold unto to. It contents are high profiled Criminals and informations that could destroy them. So everyone in town wants the drive.

After Jade fought her way out of one of these drive hunters, she talks to Layla about giving the drive to the police. Layla suggests she could hold unto the drive for her until she figures out what to do

while on the quest Layla gets kidnapped and held hostage until Jade brings the drive, she gives the drive but it's a fake one, buying her time to rescue

her unborn niece or nephew and Layla. She fights and to struggles rescues Layla and they both go home.

But her Childhood guardian who left when she was 13 now working for Interpol asked that layla turned in the drive and in exchange gives her immunity for all her Crimes. But she tells him she destroyed the drive in the middle of the fight which was very true but then, Jade destroyed the fake drive in the crime scene corroborating her story.

Then she asks Layla to meet up Somewhere and tells Layla to take Care of herself and the baby

As she would like to live town for a while. She hands over the drive to Layla they share a hug and Layla leaves.

But here's the part that really Strikes me it was the height of Suspense and Plot twist

Layla works for the Men that Kidnapped her and she bargained to give them the drive in exchange for her father's debt, he gives her money for her it and they seal the deal . She gives the drive and goes to remove the props She has been wearing and portraying to be pregnant.

A girl in a pink bike waiting for Layla they hug and kiss as Jade watches from a distance, Jade had once seen the girl on her visit to Layla's apartment.

Well Jade been Jade had given Layla a fake drive as well.

Had following her Instincts from the start and knowing that Layla had some games up her sleeves and played along.

I for one thought that Jade trusted Layla completely but she was very right to not do so , after the circumstances in which her brother had been step up to be killed.

Move ends with Jade meeting up again with the Interpol guy , Mr Reese and then she hands over the drive and they reminisce on their old relationship as father and daughter.
