Actually, I don't have issues with this because I can easily run to netnaija to download the latest trending movie, but since this site is not available again, I decided to go to Google directly to check out some trending movies. To my luck, I was lucky, and I saw this site that prompted me to see trending movies, and the site is Paidnaija. I got into this site, and amongst the latest and trending movies there, A Weekend to Forget came out as one of them to watch, so I downloaded it.

A Weekend to Forget is a 2023 Nollywood film. It is a comedy-drama directed by Damola Ademola and written by Chiemeka Osuagwu. This movie talks about seven friends who decided to reunite themselves for a weekend getaway in a beach house after so many years apart. This was meant to be a fun party until Old stories set in, and this led to chaos, leading to a disagreement between the seven friends who were meant to have fun with one another. Old flames, they say, never die, especially when they go to the wrong place.

This film showcases some genres of action, like comedy, drama, love, tragedy, commotion and many more. Also, some actors that were assembled in the cast made me fall in love with watching this movie with the likes of Neo Akpofure, Daniel Etim Effiong, Elozonam Ogbolu and many others.
I would not say I was happy with the way the movie went because that was what made the movie fun and interesting because a lot of hidden secrets were revealed, some hidden relationships were opened, and a lot of hilarious moments left me looking at what would become of these guys. From the beginning of the movie, I never expected their lovely moment to turn out that day, but things went the other way around, and they couldn't handle themselves.
"A Weekend to Forget" is a Nollywood movie that is catchy and intriguing. The level of happiness on the faces of the friends will make you laugh out of your sorrow and even make you forget to eat if you haven't done that. The movie can never be without a flaw, and that's why it's a movie and can never be 100% because it was acted, and it's a story they are telling just for our entertainment.
The visual aspect of this movie is very stunning and attractive, leaving me attracted when I first started watching. Although a lot of people have written reviews about this movie, I feel we all have our different views about things, and the way we see things is very different. The cinematography is beautiful, capturing the essence of the Nigerian movie Industry. Plus, the soundtrack is equally impressive, giving a lot of suspense and also giving some awareness about the movie while you watch.
Performances to Remember
The cast of "A Weekend to Forget" delivers each of their roles to their best abilities, and no one will watch this movie and not commend their performances. Neo Akpofure acted as the lead, and he portrays a charming role. The uniqueness of this cast and other supporting cases gave me a huge impression that this movie has been done with a great sense of thought and that they have considered the audience before acting.
Is It Worth Watching?
My answer to this is yes, it is worth every minute spent watching this because it will give you a happy moment, a sad one and also a moment to blush because if you do not have a lover yet, it will make you feel like having one. That was a joke, but the movie is worth watching.
What I like about the movie
- I love the visuals and catchy soundtrack used in the movie.
- I love how the movie was acted because I didn't know who killed Lisa until the very end of the movie.
- I love the originality of the movie.
- I love the way he found out about Lisa's death from his wife, and the way his wife told him with full confidence.
What I don't like.
- I don't like the way the movie ended, and I don't know if the culprits who killed Lisa and BEM were apprehended or not.
- I feel there was a bit of lying, which was not making it real enough. (Taking out the dead bodies without anyone seeing them).
Overall Rating: I would eagerly rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars
