(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Every time you go online for movies to download or stream online, you will surely see a movie or more that will always be the talk of the town and will be part of the trending movies. Then you will have no choice but to want to check it out and see what it entails. Here is another new trending movie that I saw recently, and I saw a review about this movie some weeks ago. Actually, I was doubting it because I felt I might not really like it because of the title itself, but I just had to download it and leave it until I was intrigued enough to watch.

Afamefuna is another thrilling movie I saw that you wouldn't want to miss. The movie Afamefuna explores the inner workings of the Igbo Nwa Boi apprenticeship system. This movie showcases the lifestyle of the east side of Nigeria and the way they value their businesses and money over anything else. The film tells the story of a prominent businessman who was an apprentice to his master, called odogwu who later became a renowned businessman. He got into a problem that led to the death of his friend Paul, and the police had to arrest him for questioning about his deceased friend.

Afamefuna was at peace all this while with his friend Paul, until Odogwu started liking Adam over the other workers he had because Adam protected him from bankruptcy. This movie is the latest and was directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Omobayowa Alabi.

The film showcases the styles of different actors and some movie icons who were in the movie with their great performing style in the likes of Kanayo O. Kanayo, Stan Nze, Alexx Ekubo, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, Segun Arinze and many others. If I was to rate this movie, I would be rating it based on the criterias that it focus on, like the cultural heritage, the amazing moments in the movie, the cinematography, the story line which is amazing and others. But rating it out of 10, I would give it a 9 out of 10.

What I find lovely about the movie.

  • The aspect of culture it delves into is so great because it makes the audience understand how the eastern side (The Igbo's) value their culture and also trains young people in line of business. Also, the movie sheds light on the challenges faced by an apprentice who is chosen by the boss after doing a good job.
  • I love the way the story line of the movie went, especially about the death of Paul. The audience could not predict where his death came from, but rather, it left me guessing and thinking about what would end the movie.
  • It was full of amazing moments and love moments, part of which was when Paul started liking Amaka, who is their boss's daughter, because of the money he wanted to gain from her.

What I really don't like about the movie.

  • The movie was supposed to be more in English for those who do not understand the Igbo language, so I had to follow the subtitles.
  • After Afamefuna was arrested by the police, and released, it was shown again that the party still continued. It was supposed to be a new party, not the continuation of the party that started before.

My overall view about this movie is that it's a great movie from a great producer, and aside from the odds it has, it is a great movie to watch because of the cultural aspect, and it will also teach younger people how to be loyal to their bosses in whatever they do. Afamefuna is worth watching, and it can give you the full intrigue you crave in a movie. You would not want to miss the well-aligned and polished storyline this movie has. Why not go and add this to your watch list and have a fun blast.

I guess I'm the only one that's yet to see this film. Lol. It has a great plotline btw. Maybe when my mind is settled I'll look it up for the sake of Stan Nze
