Last Christmas Adventure: First Step Towards our Vacation

Hello once again everyone thomasino is back again with another blog about my last Christmas vacation.

We all know that season when Christmas songs can be heard in malls or stores. This shows that the Christmas season is coming which is the birth of Christ. Other than this Christmas vacation is also present, many go to their hometowns to have a vacation and others travel to new places so they may enjoy it. With this, I also would like to express my Christmas vacation in the last season to all of you readers and I hope you will love it.

Before going on our vacation, we first have to plan ahead on what we are going to do and our agenda for the day. We packed our essentials that we may use for the entire time as we went to a different place which is the City of Naga as I am from a rural area in Tabogon which is the northern part of the Province of Cebu.

Our mode of transportation for this entire time is that we will only be commuting as only my siblings are going with me and early in the morning, we waited for the bus outside our home which is beside the road. After a few minutes, we have now started our 4-hour journey to Cebu City. The first stop of our trip is the local bus stop, there we can take a fifteen-minute break from the bus and eat or maybe go to the bathroom. After continuing the journey, we then arrived at Cebu City where we stopped at a popular mall SM and had our lunch there and also window shopped, and also bought some things for ourselves.

We took our time at the mall since our aunt was delightful before we went to our vacation home. It was a really enjoyable journey together with my siblings as we went and watched different items being sold at the mall and also looked for items that were for sale that we might like so that we could buy them. After some time, we decided to buy some clothes that we can wear and also so that we can have new clothes.

About an hour had passed and our aunt had now arrived the first thing that we did was that we had snacks at McDonalds since that's what we decided on eating. After this, we checked on what may be the latest movie at the cinema so that we may find something good that we can watch as new movies are being released during that time. After choosing our movie we then watched one show and afterward, we decided to go home early because we would be watching and touring the local plaza in the City of Naga since they have different Christmas decorations every year and many people may go there to also watch and experience it.

Before we took the bus and headed home, we bought food for dinner so that it would be more convenient for us. When we arrived home, we ate our meal and had a short rest. The night came and Christmas lights were turned on people came, and shops were opened. We entered the plaza, and it was beautiful with a floating angel in front of the entrance holding a trumpet and beautiful lights shining through the pathways. In the distance, a huge Christmas tree can be seen which serves as the main spotlight of the entire decoration.

For me, it’s truly a good experience that I had as we travel just to watch the night lights, the night market foods, the Christmas tree and to see the vibrant colors and spirit of Christmas. The loud music and voices of people that are in the plaza, the children playing and people having fun with their families make me truly happy, and amazes me how the season of Christmas brings bonding.

Now that it’s in the middle of the year it is almost Christmas, and the spirit of Christmas is also coming. With this, it is almost time to embrace ourselves to welcome the season of Christmas as the birth of Christ is coming. For me Christmas is not only about vacation and enjoyment, it is also about giving thanks to God and welcoming him to this world as this is the day that he was born in this world.
