HIJACK 1971: One Passenger With A Different Destination (REVIEW)

HIJACK 1971 One Passenger With A Different Destination
Hello movie lovers!
Still with a film from South Korea. This time I want to review a good film, yuhu! This film is adapted from a dark true story. This story once shocked the world and it happened in South Korea in 1971. This thriller and action genre film was released in 2024. Let's see my review!
SHORT SYNOPSIS
This story focuses on a pilot named Tae-in played by Ha Jung-woo and also captain Gyu-sik played by Sung Dong-il. They took a flight from Sokcho Airport to Gimpo. After takeoff, a homemade bomb exploded and caused chaos on the plane. The hijacker Yong-dae played by Yeo Jin-goo, took control and threatened and asked the plane to be flown to North Korea. Tae-in must face this dangerous situation to save all passengers and crew.
NEVER-ENDING TENSION
Starting from a plane that wanted to fly from Sokcho Airport to Gimpo which looked like usual, with the hustle and bustle of passengers waiting at the airport. With the background of 1971 where the airport was not so sophisticated and the security was not so tight, Yong-Dae escaped by carrying a homemade bomb that he would detonate on the plane.
After the plane took off and was at the perfect height, Yong-Dae began his action by detonating the bomb he had prepared, it made the atmosphere on the plane chaotic, the passengers panicked and the plane was damaged on its floor. When this happened, Yong-Dae recklessly threatened the pilot with a gun and asked him to take the plane to North Korea.
However, the pilot Tae-In did not give up so easily, they had a fight and caused Tae In's hand to be severed because he was holding the bomb so that it would not explode on the passengers, but on the other hand Yong-Dae died because of a shot that was accidentally aimed at him. With determination and remaining strength, Tae In tried to land the plane perfectly so that the passengers remained safe. After struggling, the plane landed quite well and the passengers and crew were safe, but not the pilot, Tae-In breathed his last right after landing.
CONCLUSION
The film "Hijack 1971" has succeeded in bringing back the tragic events in South Korean aviation history with an interesting cinematic approach. This film offers a tense and dramatic experience for audiences who are interested in real stories and events. Likewise for me, this film is a film worth watching and is very adrenaline-pumping. So, are you going to watch it? For me, this is highly recommended!
