From Indy to the Stars - a galaxy of memories
When I was a kid, I was totally obsessed with Indiana Jones. I’d watch it over and over, even though it was all in German! My mom grew up in Germany, so in our house, most of the movies were in German. I’d sit there, glued to the screen, constantly bugging my mom with questions like, "What’s he saying now?" But it didn’t matter, I was completely captivated by Indy and his adventures. Watching Indiana Jones became a Christmas tradition in our house, and it’s one that’s stuck with me through the years.
Then, when I was about 13, I stumbled upon another movie that stole my heart - Star Wars. The moment I saw it, I was hooked. And guess what? Harrison Ford was in both of my favorite movies! It was like a dream come true. Watching him as both Indiana Jones and Han Solo was pure magic for me. I never imagined there were so many parts to these movies, so discovering Episodes IV, V, and VI of Star Wars was mind-blowing. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Episodes I, II, and III too, but without Harrison Ford, something just felt a little off.
When the new Star Wars episodes came out, I was over the moon! Now, I have even more to watch during the holidays. My husband might roll his eyes because I watch these movies every year, but honestly, these are some of the best memories I have. So, me, curled up on the couch with a blanket, sipping hot cocoa, snow falling outside, and a marathon of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Two days dedicated to each—it’s absolute bliss!
I’ll admit, when Indiana Jones 5 came out, I felt a pang of sadness. Seeing Indy getting older was a stark reminder that there won’t be many more adventures. And let’s face it, without Harrison Ford, it just wouldn’t be the same. The same thing happened when Han Solo died in Star Wars—I almost cried! 🥺 That’s probably why my apartment is filled with LEGO sets of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. They’re my way of keeping those epic stories alive.
Now, let me tell you a bit about these incredible movies…
Indiana Jones:This series follows the adventures of Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr., an archaeologist with a knack for getting into trouble—and then somehow getting out of it. Whether he’s dodging booby traps, battling Nazis, or searching for ancient relics like the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail, Indiana Jones is always up for the challenge. His mix of brains, bravery, and that iconic fedora and whip makes him the ultimate hero.
Star Wars: A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, we dive into the epic battle between the light side and the dark side of the Force. The story follows Luke Skywalker, who starts as a farm boy but is destined to become a Jedi Knight. With the help of friends like Princess Leia, Han Solo (yep, that’s where Harrison Ford shines again!), and a few droids, Luke fights to bring down the evil Empire led by Darth Vader. The saga is filled with space battles, lightsabers, and a deep connection to the Force that binds it all together.
So, whether it’s dodging danger with Indiana Jones or soaring through the stars with the Rebel Alliance, these movies have shaped my life in more ways than I can count. They’re more than just films—they’re the backdrop to my favorite memories, and the adventures that keep on giving, year after year.
Thank you, George Lucas, for creating some of the greatest movies of all time. You are truly a legend.

With love, @tinabrezpike ❤️
I loved Indiana Jones as a kid and I still love the old parts today... but I'm boycotting this new shit with the most extreme (evil German) propaganda of all time!
Especially since I think that everything that shaped my generation in films is ruined today by stupid dialogues, stupid stories, Santanic reversals and much more... Memories and dreams are systematically destroyed here and most people even go along with this satanic crap.

I know what you mean—the first three parts were the best. It's the same with Star Wars. Now is just to much love stories in every movie…But, you know, regardless of the story, I still need to watch them 😂

That's my idea of a blissful day too :)
May the force be with you!
And on this marathon day, I'm not cooking, not cleaning, and my phone is in the other room 😂.
Of course you don't :)
As a child, it was so easy to idolize celebrities like movie stars or music stars and I would feel so sad if anything was to happen to them.. 😒
