This is another South Korean drama involving a duo I love a lot. I watch Korean dramas a lot because I am able to relate to it sometimes. Divided into two parts, the glory was aired in 2022 and 2023. It is an exciting movie starring an exceptional duo who helped each other get revenge; one for the case of bullying and the other for the case of murder.

Storyline Review:

This South Korean drama conveys the story of a girl who was bullied to an extreme degree in high school. Song Hye-kyo, who starred as Moon Dong-eun, was a high schooler in Sunghan High School; she was bullied continuously by some high schoolers in the same school. Moon Dong-eun, so tired of being bullied by them, reported to the school authority but was silenced because her bullies were from a rich and prestigious background while she, Moon Dong-eun, was just a lowlife. She and her parents experienced so much hardship and desperate for money, Moon Dong-eun’s parents accepted money from one of her bully's parents in exchange for looking the other way while their daughter faced the cruel bullying without any family backing. Moon Dong-eun learned of this after her parents abandoned her, reaching her breaking point, she decided to take her life as she couldn't endure the constant bullying which left indelible scars. But Moon's plan was terminated by a lady who played a significant role in her life.

Moon Dong-eun, transferred to another school with a resolution in her heart to take revenge on Park Yeon-jin and her gang. Lim Ji-yeon starred as Park Yeon-jin, the wealthy ringleader of the bullying gang,

Park Yeon-jin grew up to be a known weather forecaster married to a wealthy businessman—Jung Sung who starred as Ha Do-yeon, whose family was very prominent. They both had a daughter, which was later discovered not to belong to Ha Do-yeon.

In Moon's journey to seeking revenge, she met Lee Do-hyun who starred as Joo Yeo-jeong—a medical doctor that wanted to seek revenge on a patient who murdered his father in cold blood for no just reason. Joo Yeo-jeong who saw his father murdered, lived with that trauma for a very long time until he met Moon Dong. His spirit was broken just as Moon Dong's.

Yeo-jeong wanted answers from his father's murderer as to why he murdered his father. Moon also looked for just reasons from Park Yeon Jin and her gang as to why they bullied her constantly. Yeo Jeong and Moon Dong joined forces together to help each other get revenge, their connection was of mutual support.

On their shared journey for revenge, they began to heal, confronting their inner demons. They fell in love in the long run, although this drama didn't delve much into the romantic aspect. At the end of this drama, both Yeon-jeong and Moon-dong got their revenge and could finally live normal lives.
Moon's bullies ended up meeting their tragic ends, and Yeonjin ended up losing her perfect life, her daughter, her husband, and spent the rest of her life in prison with hard labor. While Yeo jeong’s father’s murderer was sent to an infamous prison where his fate was going to be worse than death.

Character Review/Ratings:

I loved how the duo characters(Yeo Jeong and Moon Dong) complemented each other. I felt that without the help of one another, they wouldn't have been able to achieve what they wanted and find closure. One of my favorite scenes of this drama is when Moon Dong visited Yeon Jin in prison, she had lost everything, her world had crumbled before her, and she faced a fate worse than death. She deserved every tragedy that came her way.
Another of my favourite scene was when Moon Dong and Yoo-Jeong shared a passionate kiss in episode 8 of season 2–this scene made my heart flutter.

I watched "The Glory" Kdrama because I'm a huge fan of Lee Do-hyun and Song Hye-kyo. I became a huge fan of them after I watched a drama they starred in individually, seeing them as a powerful duo in this movie felt like a blessing on my screen, I only wished they gave us more romance. But in all, I enjoyed the drama. The glory Korean drama is a work of art, the incredible duos—Lee Do-Hyun and Song Hye-Kyo of course added flavor to the whole show.

I could watch "The Glory" over and over again without ever getting bored.

This drama is available to watch for free on loklok app/HiTv app or on Netflix.
