In the spirit of Christmas I will be sharing with you all a movie named KLAUS.

A Postman With A Difference!!!

Klaus is an animated Christmas movie that revisualizes the genesis of Santa Claus and blend themes of comedy, fantasy, kindness, and redemption.

The movie centers around the journey of Jesper Johansen—a young man who was sent to a remote and dreadful island to be a postman.

Plot Summary- Jesper Johansen was a young lazy man who lived a life of luxury and one without ambition. He would buy his way through life with his father's wealth, he lazed around doing nothing, and he infact became a nuisance.
Jesper's father, so worried, thought to himself "my son needs a wake-up call". Jesper was then sent by his father to Smeerensburg(a very remote island with very strange people) to become a postman and was given an ultimatum of delivering six thousand (6000) letters within a year or he would lose his inheritance; Jesper reluctantly got set and left for Smeerensburg.

Smeerensburg was an island with a deep-seated animosity and dispute among two clans—the Ellingboes and the Krums. The island was built on resentment and spite.
The two clans harbored hatred towards one another and no one was willing to send letters which made Jesper's goals seem impossible.
Jesper's determination pushed him to meet a toy-maker named Klaus who lived in solitude. Klaus once lived with his wife and made toys in anticipation of their children, unfortunately, the children never came and he lost his wife to the cold hands of death after an illness. But the life of Jesper and Klaus both changed after they met.

Jesper, who was determined to reach his goal of delivering six thousand (6,000) letters, convinced Klaus to help him deliver toys to children of Smeerensburg in exchange for letters. This act of kindness sparked a positive change in Smeerensburg because the joy of receiving toys encouraged the children to write letters, behave well and even attend school.

As time went on, Smeerensburg became a colorful and cooperative town and….Christmas approached quickly. Klaus, Jesper and the school teacher—Alva, worked together to make Christmas a memorable and happy one for the children and people of Smeerensburg. Meanwhile the plans of the leaders of the disputing clans in Smeerensburg to ruin the happiness of the town fell through.

Jesper, who also had grown to love Smeerensburg and its people, developed cold feet and didn't return to his father's place even after his mission was successfully completed. That Christmas was the best one yet for the people of Smeerensburg and that was how Smeerensburg transformed from a town of hostility to a holly-jolly town.

The Christmas movie—Klaus ended with Jesper and Alva getting married and starting a family in Smeerensburg and with Klaus reuniting with his wife after he had grown old. Even though Klaus wasn't physically present with them anymore, they believed that once every year Klaus came with the sound of sleigh bells jingling.

"A true act of goodwill always sparks another".

Closing remark: This is one refreshing Christmas movie that I would watch over and over again without getting tired of and I highly recommend it for everyone.
A 10/10 movie for both kids and adults.

It is available to watch on Netflix. Have a holly jolly Christmas!!

One of my favorite Christmas movies, and along with Holdovers, it's the best holiday-related movie to come out in recent years. Plus, it has a beautiful animation style.
