My View On Avatar The Last AirBender 2024
Today is one of my most blank days, don't really know what to talk about so I will be dropping a movie review instead. There is this movie that came out on Netflix recently with a lot of hype titled Avatar The Last Airbender, a friend of mine mentioned the movie on discord while asking for netflix subscription, I was surprise there is a new movie on it because I saw one once and it was 100% rubbish but I actually love the animation part which I watch when I was still in junior secondary school, I really love it to the extend that I started imagine myself as the avatar master of all element, so when this friend of mine made the announcement, I kind of discouragement him saying it might not be that interesting like the animation own, they won't make the movie that good but something in me told me to first check it out before judging

So I went ahead to check out the trailer part on youtube and it was really dope, like they actually amazed me with the way they made this particular one because it felt real so I was moved to actually watch it, used loklok app instead of netflix to download all 8episodes so I can watch it offline (no subscription needed). The first scene really make sense because that wasn't in the animation part, we just know avatar aang was in the big ice in the ocean discovered by korra and sokka but we really don't know the reason but it was showed here where the fire nation lord Sozin plans to attack the air nomads and kill the avatar as the main target so the fire nation can be in power but I actually gave it a deep thought, based on the avatar cycle it moved from Air to Water then Earth before Fire, because Sozin want to be a tyrant, was he planning to destroy all element since he knew Fire nation is always the last on the cycle list, so he had to kill 3 avatars before it will reach their turn.
It actually pained me how the air nomad was destroyed but was kind of happy aang was available at that moment because I can't imagine what would have happened, he wasn't that strong and it is during the great comet which make fire benders stronger. The part where zuko was send on an impossible mission to find the avatar since they know he wasn't dead or he shouldn't return home as a prince really make me felt somehow, apparently some kings are like that, always giving hard tasks to some of their prince especially when they don't really like them.
Another aspect that really caught my attention is when Avatar Kiyoshi came to life through aang as a way to let him know how the avatar state can be, that moment was really top notch and zuko with commander zhao were surprised seeing the merciless kiyoshi, Kiyoshi island standing alone have a little backline story which was stated in the animated part and her presence made the kiyoshi people believe the avatar is actually back to save the world and that was when his journey beginnings based on the revelation Kiyoshi told aang about the incoming war and the possible destruction of the northern water tribes. Also his tribe to ba sing se to meet king bumi was amazing in this part even though they remove lot of scenes, the fight wasn't what I expected, the animate part was way batter and tricky.
The northern water tribe war with commander zhao too was really dope, far more than I expected and was able to realized the main reason why master pakku don't want katara to actually learn the fighting aspect of water bending, what also gave me that cold fear was when zhao killed the ying koi fish just to render all water benders powerless, what would have happen if princess yue didn't give back life to the koi fish, wont aang spirit be lost forever and remain the angry spirit that avatar kuruk was scared of. Now we wait for the next season, there are lot of scenes I will want to see, the curiosity is now at 80%
I’m yet to watch it but it’s just bringing so much memories
