¡Fui a ver el Live Action de "La sirenita" al cine y te cuento que me pareció! 👁️🧜‍♀️

Buenas buenaas, su humilde servidora se fue 🎶 BAJO DEL MAAAR 🎶 para ver el live action de "La sirenita" y la verdad es que... ¡ME GUSTO BASTANTE! Yo fui de esas personas que en un primer momento no estaban convencidas de esta producción, no por racismo ni nada de eso, de hecho, me agrada mucho Halle (la protagonista) porque canta hermoso y disfruto mucho de su música, sino porque me considero una persona old school en el sentido de que prefiero que las nuevas producciones audiovisuales basadas en películas o series ya existentes, sean fieles al contenido original y el ver el cambio tan drástico en el aspecto físico de Ariel se me hizo extraño. Otra cosa que no me cuadraba era el CGI, porque en los tráileres que poco a poco iban lanzando, se veía muy deficiente, dejando mucho que desear. Todo esto creo dudas en mí e incluso confieso que yo había declarado que no iba a verla al cine, sin embargo, después de reflexionar sobre ciertas cosas y recordar lo mucho que me gustaba la voz de Halle, decidí ir a verla y no me arrepiento en lo absoluto, porque valió la pena.

Good daaaay, your humble servant went 🎶 UNDER THE SEAAA 🎶 to see the live action of "The Little Mermaid" and the truth is that... I LIKE IT A LOT! I was one of those people who at first were not convinced of this production, not because of racism or anything like that, in fact, I really like Halle (the protagonist) because she sings beautifully and I enjoy her music a lot, but because I consider myself an old school person in the sense that I prefer new audiovisual productions based on existing films or series, to be faithful to the original content and seeing the drastic change in the physical appearance of Ariel was strange to me. Another thing that bothered me was the CGI, because in the trailers that were being released little by little, it looked very poor, leaving much to be desired. All this created doubts in me and I even confess that I had declared that I was not going to see it at the cinema, however, after reflecting on certain things and remembering how much I liked Halle's voice, I decided to go see it and I do not regret it at all, because it was worth it.

Estando en el cine me agrado observar que había varias personas que fueron a ver la película, la sala donde la iban a proyectar no estaba vacía como muchos esperaban (y deseaban), al contrario, se llenó casi completamente, solo quedaron pocos puestos vacíos. Antes de que comenzara la película como tal, apareció un breve anuncio con Halle hablando, diciendo que esperaba que disfrutáramos la película, lo cual me pareció un bonito e inteligente detalle. Siendo objetivos y si me preguntan, lo más probable es que hayan creado ese pequeño mensaje introductorio con la intención de "ablandar" un poco a las personas que aún tenían dudas antes de que comenzara la película, ya que se muestra a Halle muy simpática y las palabras fueron las adecuadas para convencer y agradar (muy inteligente por parte de Disney).

Ahora sí, después del mensaje, la película dio inicio, llego el momento de la verdad y ... ¡Lo siento haters, la película no es el bodrio que esperaban, así no les guste! 😌

Being at the cinema I was glad to see that there were several people who went to see the movie, the room where the movie was going to be projected was not empty as many expected (and wished), on the contrary, it was almost completely filled, there were only a few empty seats left. Before the movie started as such, a short commercial appeared with Halle speaking, saying that she hoped we would enjoy the movie, which I thought was a nice and smart detail. Being objective and if you ask me, they most likely created that little introductory message with the intention of "softening" a bit the people who still had doubts before the movie started, since Halle appears very nice and the words were the right ones to convince and please (very smart on Disney's part).

After the message, the movie started, the moment of truth arrived and .... I'm sorry haters, the movie is not the mess you were expecting, even if you don't like it! 😌

Inicio mi crítica destacando que la historia presentada es bastante fiel a la original en cuanto a la narrativa, los cambios de trama no fueron muchos y los cambios pequeños que hicieron fueron para mejor, ya que la historia resulta más madura. En cuanto al CGI, quede gratamente sorprendida al ver que no era malo como se veía en los tráileres, ¿es el CGI más impresionante?, no, pero no se ve para nada mal, solo en pocas escenas se aprecia un poco extraño, nada del otro mundo. La escenografía en general está muy bien elaborada y fue una jugada inteligente de Disney el que en esta versión "La sirenita" se desarrollara en el Caribe, no en Dinamarca como la original (tiene más sentido por la estética y las características físicas de Ariel). Hablando de Ariel... hablemos de la personificación de Halle como este icónico personaje querido por muchos.

I start my review highlighting that the story presented is pretty faithful to the original in terms of narrative, the plot changes were not many and the small changes they made were for the better, as the story is more mature. As for the CGI, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't as bad as it looked in the trailers, is it the most impressive CGI?, no, but it doesn't look bad at all, only in a few scenes it looks a little strange, nothing too dramatic. The set design in general is very well elaborated and it was a smart move by Disney that in this version "The Little Mermaid" takes place in the Caribbean, not in Denmark as the original (it makes more sense for the aesthetics and physical characteristics of Ariel). Speaking of Ariel... let's talk about Halle's impersonation as this iconic character beloved by many.

¿Cuáles son las características no físicas, sino de personalidad de la Ariel original? Ariel es inocente, curiosa, aventurera, carismática y posee una hermosa voz, Halle logro personificar todo eso más su voz es totalmente de ensueño, asumo que eso es lo que vio el director que la escogió (aunque sabemos que también estuvo metida la mano de Beyonce ahí ji, ji, ji 🤭). No importa si no te gusta Halle como Ariel, es respetable, pero quien después de ver la película desacredite a Halle, simplemente está cegado por el odio, porque la chica actúa muy bien, considero que tiene un gran futuro en la actuación y aunque no tenga el físico, si tiene la esencia de nuestra querida sirenita. Halle es adorable, tiene mucho carisma y aunque muchas personas le hicieron bullying por la distancia entre sus ojos, tiene una sonrisa preciosa que opaca todo eso. Mi corazón fue conquistado, lo admito.

What are the characteristics, not physical, but rather personality characteristics of the original Ariel? Ariel is innocent, curious, adventurous, charismatic and has a beautiful voice, Halle managed to embody all that plus her voice is totally dreamy, I assume that's what the director who chose her saw (although we know that Beyonce's influence was also there 🤭). It doesn't matter if you don't like Halle as Ariel, it's respectable, but whoever after watching the movie discredits Halle, is simply blinded by hate, because the girl acts very well, I consider she has a great future in acting and even if she doesn't have the physique, she does have the essence of our beloved little mermaid. Halle is adorable, she has a lot of charisma and although many people bullied her because of the distance between her eyes, she has a beautiful smile that overshadows all that. My heart was conquered, I admit it.

Si hablamos de los otros personajes, debo decir que me gusto mucho Javier Bardem como el rey Tritón, siento que se parecía bastante al original y se veía imponente. El príncipe Eric todo un encanto, sin duda mucho mejor que el de la película animada y Ursula, interpretada por Melissa MCcarty estuvo bastante bien, lo único es que Melissa tiene cara de buena gente y siento que le falto un poco más para capturar las expresiones malévolas de la Ursula original, por lo demás, su actuación fue buena. Sebastian, Flounder y Scuttle, a pesar de que su apariencia también causo controversia por no verse como los originales, se roban el show con su simpatía y sentido del humor, causando muchas risas en los espectadores (sobre todo Sebastian). Otro personaje que se robó el show en sus pocas apariciones, fue Vanessa, la versión humana de Ursula interpretada por Jessica Alexander. Esta chica casi no apareció, pero su interpretación de Vanessa fue sublime, extremadamente fiel a la original en todos los sentidos (le veo mucho futuro a esta actriz interpretando papeles de villanos). En cuanto a las hermanas de Ariel, son totalmente irrelevantes, así que no tengo realmente nada que decir sobre ellas, aparte de que sus diseños son interesantes y llamativos... plop.

If we talk about the other characters, I must say that I really liked Javier Bardem as King Triton, I feel that he looked very similar to the original and he looked imposing. Prince Eric was a real charmer, certainly much better than the one in the animated movie and Ursula, played by Melissa MCcarty was pretty good, the only thing is that Melissa has the face of a good person and I feel that she lacked a little more to capture the malevolent expressions of the original Ursula, otherwise, her performance was good. Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle, although their appearance also caused controversy for not looking like the originals, steal the show with their sympathy and sense of humor, causing many laughs in the audience (especially Sebastian). Another character that stole the show in her few appearances was Vanessa, the human version of Ursula played by Jessica Alexander. This girl almost didn't appear, but her interpretation of Vanessa was sublime, extremely faithful to the original in every way (I see a lot of future for this actress playing villain roles). As for Ariel's sisters, they are totally irrelevant, so I don't really have anything to say about them, other than that their designs are interesting and eye-catching... plop.

El romance entre Eric y Ariel está mejor sustentando en esta versión de la historia, lo cual es de agradecer, ya basta de romances que no muestran tener un contexto sólido. A Eric le pusieron un trasfondo más interesante, lo que hace que el personaje tenga más presencia. Si hablamos de la música, pues, es totalmente encantadora y las secuencias musicales fueron muy bonitas, muchas veces me dieron ganas de bailar, me sacaron varias sonrisas y el final, bueno, el final me aguo los ojos, quede conmovida... pero, ¿todo es maravillo entonces en el live action?, en realidad no. Permítanme contarles, que cosas no me gustaron o pienso que podrían haber sido mejores. 🧐

The romance between Eric and Ariel is better sustained in this version of the story, which is to be appreciated, as there is enough of romances that don't show a solid context. Eric is given a more interesting backstory, which makes the character have more presence. If we talk about the music, well, it's totally charming and the musical sequences were very nice, many times they made me want to dance, they made me smile and the ending, well, the ending made my eyes water, I was touched... but, is everything wonderful then in the live action? not really. Let me tell you what I didn't like or think could have been better. 🧐

1️⃣Se tomaron muy en serio lo de estar bajo el mar y cerca de la playa, muchas escenas son demasiado oscuras, tanto que no se detalla bien que es lo que está pasando exactamente, restándole puntos a la película.

2️⃣Las hermanas de Ariel siento que son CGI desperdiciado, de verdad que su presencia no causa ningún impacto más que ser decoración, aunque bueno, ellas nunca fueron las protagonistas, pero igual le podían haber sacado más provecho a su aparición.

3️⃣El maquillaje de Ursula podía haber sido un poco más elaborado, no es que esté mal como tal, pero en la película animada era más exagerado, haciendo que Ursula luciera incluso más malévola de lo que es.

4️⃣El cabello de Ariel podía haber lucido mucho mejor si se lo hubieran puesto más rojo y no color oxidado, porque ni siquiera es que es un rojo más claro, es anaranjado y la forma en que lo degradaron lo hace ver similar al óxido.

5️⃣Entiendo que el vestuario está acorde a la época y locación, realmente no es feo, pero pienso que podían haberle dado vestidos más bonitos a Ariel (es una princesa Disney después de todo).

1️⃣ They took very seriously the idea of being under the sea and near the beach, many scenes are too dark, so much that it is not well detailed what exactly is happening, subtracting points to the film.

2️⃣ Ariel's sisters I feel they are wasted CGI, their presence doesn't really cause any impact other than being decoration, although they were never the main characters, but they could have taken more advantage of their appearance.

3️⃣Ursula's makeup could have been a little more elaborate, not that it is bad as such, but in the animated movie it was more exaggerated, making Ursula look even more malevolent than she is.

4️⃣Ariel's hair could have looked much better if they had made it more red and not rust colored, because it's not even a lighter red, it's orange and the way they degraded it makes it look similar to rust.

5️⃣ The costumes are according to the time and location, they are not really ugly, but I think they could have given Ariel nicer dresses (she is a Disney princess after all).

¿Es el live action de "La sirenita" el mejor de todos?, no lo creo, pero ciertamente no es el desastre que todos esperaban. Yo viví en carne propia la alegría de los espectadores al ver la película, los niños estaban felices, el público en general quedo satisfecho e incluso se aplaudió al final, así que creo que la película cumplió su cometido, aunque muchos aún se nieguen a verla y sin tener conocimiento la destruyan en redes.

Pienso que el odio que recibió este filme antes de su estreno fue demasiado exagerado, todos tenemos derecho a expresar nuestra opinión, ya sea positiva o negativa, pero no es necesario expresarse desde el odio, esos ya son extremos que si me preguntan, rozan él sin sentido. Halle no se merecía todo el odio y burlas que recibió, ¿no te gusta ella?, respetable, pero, ¿era necesario que la destruyeran por las redes?, NO, y la excusa de que "el internet es así", no es válida porque, el internet no es así, el internet es solo un vehículo, son las PERSONAS las que se comportan como ovejas descarriadas no sé si por estar aburridas con sus vidas, infelices o porque les falta un tornillo. Es tanto el odio sin sentido que una película para niños generó en muchos, que incluso ya habiendo sido estrenada y sin haberla visto, personas al ver que en su estreno le estaba yendo bien, empezaron a calificarla negativamente solo para bajar las puntuaciones positivas que estaba recibiendo... ¿Les parece eso normal?, a mí no... TERAPIA. 🤪

Is the live action of "The Little Mermaid" the best of all?, I don't think so, but it is certainly not the disaster that everyone expected. I experienced firsthand the joy of the viewers when they saw the film, the children were happy, the general public was satisfied and even applauded at the end, so I think the film did its job, although many still refuse to see it and without having knowledge destroy it in social networks.

I think the hate that this film received before its release was too exaggerated, we all have the right to express our opinion, whether positive or negative, but it is not necessary to express ourselves from hate, those are already extremes that if you ask me, they border on nonsense. Halle didn't deserve all the hate and mockery she received, you don't like her?, respectable, but, was it necessary to destroy her through the networks?, NO, and the excuse that "the internet is like that", is not valid because, the internet is not like that, the internet is just a vehicle, it's the PEOPLE who behave like stray sheeps I don't know if because they are bored with their lives, unhappy or because they are missing a screw. It is so much the senseless hatred that a movie for children generated in many, that even having already been released and without having seen it, people who saw that it was doing well in its premiere, began to rate it negatively just to lower the positive ratings it was receiving... Does that seem normal to you? not to me... THERAPY. 🤪

Uy, en fin, dejando mi indignación por las personas extremistas atrás (🤣), yo recomiendo la película amigos, es entretenida y les hará pasar un rato agradable, no se dejen llevar por prejuicios o comentarios llenos de odio, permítanse sacar sus propias conclusiones.

Mi calificación: UN SÓLIDO 3.9 (le había dado 4 al inicio, pero después de detallar algunas cosas le bajé un poco) de 5.

Anyway, leaving my indignation for extremist people behind (🤣), I recommend the movie friends, it's entertaining and will make you have a good time. Don't get carried away by prejudices or hateful comments, allow yourself to draw your own conclusions.

My rating: A SOLID 3.9 (I had given it 4 at the beginning, but after detailing some things I lowered it a little) out of 5.
