I recently saw the movie "7 dias en la Habana", a 2012 production directed by Laurent Cantet, Benicio Del Toro, Julio Medem, Gaspar Noé, Elia Suleiman, Juan Carlos Tabío, Pablo Trapero that deals with the vicissitudes that Cubans live with as a consequence of the economic embargo and the political conflicts of the island's government with the US.
The film shows us through small micro-stories that are part of the big story the daily life of the island. The situations faced by Cuban citizens in order to survive: professionals who dedicate themselves to another profession, power cuts, alcohol consumption to forget, separation of families, consent to infidelity due to economic needs, prostitution.
The film narrates the terrible and at the same time beautiful things that Cubans live. Faced with the circumstances, some try to overcome them through faith, the practice of an art, the affection of friends...
Between nostalgia and joy, the film delves into the deep way of life of Cubans, which is part of the curiosity of tourists.
On the other hand, it also shows the wonderful talent of the people who live on the island, who despite being dedicated to other trades, their knowledge of the general culture, languages, makes them a particular society.
It lets us see the value of friendship, the brief moments, family, love, as the most precious values.
Although I have never been to Cuba, for a moment I felt close to that reality that every day is closer to Venezuelans.

recientemente vi la película "7 días en la Habana", una producción del año 2012 dirigida por Laurent Cantet, Benicio Del Toro, Julio Medem, Gaspar Noé, Elia Suleiman, Juan Carlos Tabío, Pablo Trapero que trata la vicisitudes que viven con los cubanos como consecuencia del embargo económico y los conflictos políticos del gobierno de la isla con los E.E.U.U.
La película nos muestra a través de pequeñas microhistorias que son parte del gran relato la cotidianidad de la isla. Las situaciones a la que se enfrentan los ciudadanos cubanos para sobrevivir: profesionales que se dedican a otro oficio, los cortes eléctricos, el consumo del alcohol para olvidar, la separación de las familias, el consentimiento de la infidelidad por necesidades económicas, la prostitución.
La película nos va narrando las cosas terribles y al mismo tiempo hermosas que viven los cubanos. Frente a las circunstancias, algunos buscan sobreponerse a través de la fe, la práctica de algún arte, el afecto de los amigos.
Entre la nostalgia y la alegría la película se adentra en el modo profundo de vida del cubano, el cual es parte de la curiosidad de los turistas.
Por otro lado, también deja ver el talento maravilloso de personas que viven en la isla, que pese a dedicarse a otros oficios, su conocimiento de la cultura general, idiomas, les hace ser una sociedad particular.
Nos deja ver el valor de la amistad, los breves momentos, la familia, el amor, como los valores más preciados.
Aunque nunca he estado en Cuba, por un momento me sentí cerca de esa realidad que cada día es más cercana a los venezolanos.
