There are movies that stay etched in your brain even after you finish them and A Beautiful Mind is one of those movies The movie is not just the story of a genius in mathematics but a deep dive into the human mind and its struggle with itself.

The story

The movie talks about John Nash a genius mathematician at Princeton University who had a different way of thinking than anyone else His genius was in seeing the world in a purely mathematical way which led him to come up with theories that changed the concept of economics But over time his life turned upside down when he began to suffer from schizophrenia which made him see people and events that were not real.

The most attractive thing about the movie is the psychological struggle that Nash lives At first he sees himself as smarter than everyone around him but when he begins to doubt what he sees and asks himself Is this real or not This is where the journey of real suffering begins The movie takes you between moments of success and collapse in a way that makes you feel like you are literally inside his head.

Russell Crowe gave a brilliant performance he was able to make you feel every detail in Nashs character from moments of arrogance to moments of collapse and fear And how over the years he tries to adapt to his illness instead of trying to escape from it This wonderful performance was one of the reasons that made the movie win Oscars including Best Picture in 2002.

A Beautiful Mind is not just a movie about mathematics or a genius but it is an inspiring story about the power of will and about how a person can overcome his problems even if they are in his own mind If you havent seen it yet you have missed a lot because it is one of the movies that you will keep thinking about even after you finish it.
