What I liked about "The Doorman"
The Doorman: The name alone gives you a sense of mystery as if you are entering someone holding the secret door
I love movies that are tense and suspenseful and that keep you on edge all the time and The Doorman is one of those movies The story begins with a woman who used to work in the army but after she returned to normal life she worked as a guard for a luxurious building and she thought that her life would be calm but of course it was not like that Suddenly she finds herself facing a dangerous gang trying to steal something important from the building and here the battle begins.
The nice thing about the movie is that its not just action and thats it there are moments of tension that make you not know what will happen next especially when you start to discover that the matter is not as simple as you thought The performance was strong especially the heroine who was able to present a strong character but has a painful past and this made me attached to her more and see how she will deal with the situation.
Not I will spoil the events but I can say that the movie has moments that make you hold on to your chair with tension and there are good action scenes even if they are not the best ever But if you like movies that have a conflict between the hero and the gang and things like confronting intelligence and strength then The Doorman might be a fun choice for you.
What I also liked in The Doorman was the general atmosphere of the movie the lighting the music and even the way of filming that increased the feeling of tension There were certain scenes where I felt that the place itself became part of the story as if this luxurious building was not just a background but a maze that the heroine had to use to her advantage This made a difference to me because it made me feel that the movie was not just shooting and thats it but there was thinking and strategy.
Of course like any movie there are things that could have been better such as some dialogues that I felt were a bit traditional or moments where I was expecting something more dramatic but overall the movie provided an enjoyable experience If you like action movies that feature a strong heroine who faces a gang alone and that have a mix of intelligence and strength then this movie is definitely worth watching.
