Confessions Korean Movie 2022 Movie Review

Hi movie lovers... What movie do you watched nowadays?

Last week when I heading to Vietnam from Japan, I found out a movie on the flight. It was Confessions. At the first I was confused what should I do while in the flight. I was not sleepy but I have no something to watched but this movie. Then I decided to watched this korean movie for six hours flight.

I chosen this movie due to Confessions stared by So Ji Sub and Nana as a leading role.

So here we go!

• Accidently being A Murder

Yoo Min Ho is a successful businessman which is suddenly wake up with hard headache. He was not sleep but lose consciousness. He woke up after heard someone knocking the door and asked him to open the door. When he got up unsteadily towards the door, he saw his girlfriend, Kim Se Hee is lying covered in blood. He was shocked and shouted to asked help, but when the door is open, the police which was entry the room arrested him!

Yoo Min Ho is allegedly kill his girlfriend, Kim Se Hee...

An Attorney named Yang Shin Ae visited Yoo Min Ho in his private villa to collecting his declaration that he is innocent. In their conversation, Yo Min Hoo finally told about how did it start and why were them there in that room cause now everyone knows that both of them have an affair.

Yoo Min Hoo then told about that night they both there at that room due to someone unknown was extorted him for million money. That blackmailer asked Yoo Min Hoo to visited the hotel room but surprisingly there is Kim Se Hee in the room. They both then talking about the accident that recently happened.

One night, on the way to come home, Yoo Min Hoo and Kim Se Hee got an accident that caused someone died. Instead take a responsible, Kim Se Hee arranged a plan to covered that accident to safe their life and their affair. By the Se Hee order, Yoo Min Hoo is throw away the dead body at somewhere unknown.

Then the next scenes is told us how Yoo Min Hoo and Kim Se Hee covered their crime and how Se Hee end up died by Yoo Min Hoo's declaration.

• Nice Storytelling and Scenes

Surprisingly So Ji Sub played an antagonist role here, due as we know that So Ji Sub in Korean Drama is always being a protagonist role. He is lovely in the drama, but in this movie, he is can not be trusted. Even till the truth is almost revealed, I still hope Yoo Min Ho is not the murder, but he is killed more than one person. What a wicked!

Even though I hate So Ji Sub as a villain, I have to praise him to success to delivered the role. He is really looks like innocent and I tricked by him.

I loved the concept of this movie which is full of investigation and telling by the flashback moment so when the scenes are running I always guess what happened actually.

• Same but Different

At first I watched the movie I felt I familiar with the plot. I have been watched the same story before. It was Badla, Indian Movie starring by Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, and Amrita Singh. To be honest I partial forgot all detail of Badla but my mind remembered of the essence of the story.

Firstly I thought that Badla was adaption of Confessions, the truth is Badla is 2019 movie then Confessions is 2020 movies tho. Then wikipedia told me that either of Badla or Confession are adaptation from Spanish Movie entitled The Invisible Guest.

I have not watched The Invisible Guest yet due the access of spanish movies is less. Due I have been watched the version of India and South Korean, I honestly saying that I loved the South korean movies. For me the Confessions version is looks like real, not being a dramatic movie meanwhile Badla is looks like too dramatic due the Amitabh Bachchan presence.

The other reason is I was touched when Yang Shin Ae finally found the dead body of her son.

But I still have to praise the Indian filmakers also due they were done a great job like Badla.
