Hi Movie lovers...

That was a Korean Drama entittled: 30 But 17.

To be honest, when I watched a movie or drama, I first look who's the cast. At this time, I watched this drama because Shin Hye Sun. I first time watched her drama entittled, She was Pretty. Even though she was not a main lead, I like her acting. Then I saw her on My Last Angel, she is played a blind girl, which is her acting was suit for her, then I addicted with her dramas. That is why I watched 30 But 17.
So here I am, watched twice because I love all elements of these dramas.

30 But 17 told about Woo Seo Ri which was wake up from her 13 years coma. At her 17 years old, she is a talented Violinist who was get bus accident. She then coma for 13 years. When she wake up from coma, she do not recognize herself. She still felt like teenager and not yet accustomed to her adult age. Unfortunately, after wake up from coma, Seo Ri looking for her family, her uncle and her aunty, but they did not come. After get rehabilitation and can walking again, she going home but not found her uncle and her aunty. Her home has changed ownership. The owner of that home is Gong Woo Jin, a stage desainer who has strange tendency because a trauma. After knowing the home is not her own again, Seo Ri wandering her uncle and her aunt without knowing the direction. She even sleep in the playground with sorrow.

Gong Woo Jin is a tsundere person which never care about others but his nephew, Yoo Chan. They both had 11 years old gap and made them more like friend. Woo Jin is always caring about Yoo Chan and Yoo Chan also more caring about Woo Jin like Woo Jin's parents than a nephew. After trauma which was he get at his 17 years old age, Woo Jin become silent, quiet, solitary, and likes to wander. His meeting with Seo Ri like recalling old wounds and trauma, but at the same time, Seo Ri make his condition more better than before.

Woo Jin and Seo Ri then fallin in love and it's make their past come to light. In the past, 17 years ago, they had connection which is Woo Jin teenager had a crush of a girl who always standing in the bridge, which is, she is Seo Ri. But in the past, Woo Jin knewing Seo Ri as Noh Su Mi, missunderstanding because Seo Ri teenager always wearing his friend's clothes named Noh Su Mi. When the bus accident happened, Woo Jin knowing that Noh Su Mi is one of accident victim who died. It made Woo Jin heartbreaking and blame his self. That guilt continues to carry over till in his 30 years age.

The Review

Even though it is my second time watching 30 But 17, I still can feel the same vibe of this drama, which was heartwhelming, sad, sympathy, and the butterfly effect. This story is light but had a good message. All character in this drama had a big portion and important. I love how the scriptwriter created each character and how was their connection. I think the script has been revision many times. Because as an author I believed that a script would be perfect if we take a long time to revision and revision again before releasing it.

Looks how their relationship through the picture below:

The Characters

I should to praise the writer-nim which delivered this story beautifully especially about all characters. Each character has beautiful relation especially between Gong Woo Jin and Woo Seo Ri.

The acting of both actors, Shin Hye Sun and Yang Se Jong are totally into their character that they were played. Especially for Shin Hye Sun. It was not wrong decided to watched this Drama because of her. She could delivered the character as 30 years old women who had 17 years old mentality.

Then Gong Woo Jin who played by Yang Se Jong as traumatic boy is perfect. His aura, his handsome, his smile, his gesture, and his voice are totally made me can not turn round. I am not his fan because there is no his drama that I watched unless this drama, but in 30 Still 17 he had my heart!

Besides, the extras relife this drama a lots, especially the characters below:

Yoo Chan and his best friends

Another extras that I had to praise is Jennifer. I have been watched several drama of Jennifer, but in this drama, Jennifer doing her best as maid. Even her character is same strong as the trio of Yoo Chan.

Among all characters, I feell sorry about Seo Ri friend, Hyung Tae, who was accompanied Seo Ri while she is in coma but could not reached her because Seo Ri run away from the rehabilitation hospital. I thought he is the second lead, but by episodes I knew he is the extras also. Poor Hyung Tae...

I wish in the future Shin Hye Sun and Yang Se Jong will be pairing again, I loved their chemistry. Ah, Shin Hye Sun always had best chemistry with anyone actors in her drama.

have you been watched 30 But 17, what do you think?

I rated 5/5 star: Heartwhelming!

Thanks for read my sincere review. See you in next review.
