Are you familiar with the tittle that I mentioned above? If yes, you have my heart, haha

Recently I have accomplished a south korean drama entitle Welcome to Samdalri. Samdal is a village in Jeju Island, South Korea. In this drama Samdal is also the name of the female lead played by Shin Hae Sun. Actually, she is the reason why I directly watched this drama even though still on going (watch when the new episode is airing).

To be honest, I don't like the male lead (Ji Chang Wook) but I still watched this drama due my favorite Shin Hae Sun. This is my second drama of Ji Chang Wook after Suspicious Partner. I like either Suspicious Partner or Welcome to Samdalri due Ji Chang Wook role is soft.

Okay, let's talk about the drama... A slice of life drama...

The drama begins with Cho Sam Dal throwing water on the head of his girlfriend who was suspected of cheating on him. Sam Dal has successful career in Seoul, a metropolitan city, as photographer. Cho Sam Dal has a stage name which is Cho Eun Hye. She has changed her name due Sam Dal is too villager for her in Seoul.

Meanwhile, in Samdal Village, Cho Young Pil (Ji Chang Wook) a weather forecaster at Jeju Island's Meteorological Administration. He is childhood friend of Sam Dal also her ex-boyfriend. In Samdal, Young Pil taking care of Sam Dal mother, which is has same name with his mother, Ko Mi Ja, his mother Bu MiJa.

Ko Mi Ja and Bu Mi Ja are bestfriend since they were young and then married. Both of them loves a singer name Young Pil, that is why Bu Mija's son has those name. But Young Pil's mom was passed away.

In Seoul, Sam Dal's junior, Bang Eun Ju (an intern photographer) make her upset and angry. Bang Eun Ju is not listening Sam Dal for take off the blue scarf from the model. Bang Eun Ju then protest to Sam Dal for not let her to get a project as a photographer. Bang Eun Ju then admitted that she was having an affair with Sam Dal's boyfriend. Even though Sam Dal was knew, Sam Dal still keep her tension. Bang Eun Ju then make a trouble for Sam Dal with attempted suicide. Her attempted suicide then goes viral due Cho Sam Dal is famous photographer who was handle how many celebrity in South Korea. Sam Dal got a scandal and no one believed that it was slander.

That scandal make Sam Dal upcoming photo exhibition being call off! How many peoples and journalist chasing her to asked 'why did you do that', 'are you bullying your junior', instead 'is that true?' They were not listening Sam Dal and her trusted assistant, they just judgmental by one side point of view, which is Bang Eun Ju.

Korean Netizen then make Cho Sam Dal is suspect then Bang Eun Ju is a victim. In one night, Sam Dal career is wrecked.

For avoid all reporter, Cho Sam Dal and her two sisters coming home, to Sam Dal-Ri.

In Samdal-Ri, Sam Dal meet her ex, Cho Young Pil. Then one by one their secret are revealed, included why Young Pil's father hated Sam Dal and her family.

My first impression about Welcome to Samdalri was, it is a romance-comedy drama that will be filled by romance scenes between a girl and a boy in metropolitan, but it is not that kind of drama.

Welcome to Samdalri was a drama about a relationship. Relationship here is not always about a couple, but bout a friend, a family, siblings, and relation extensively. This drama is about how to forgiveness and acceptance for everything in our life.

Even though Shin Hae Sun and Ji Chang Wook are main lead, other cast has a fair share of characters. Each character has important role to support the main lead. Especially for Sam Dal's mother, Ko Mi Ja. I think she is a key to make this drama more real. Her presence is capable to make a real ambience. What a fab acting!

There are sisters of Sam Dal, Cho Jin Dal (first daughter of Ko MiJa), and Cho Hae Dal (third daughter of Ko Mi Ja), and the clever niece, Cha Ha Yul. All of them are all out. Then there are Sam Dal and Young Pil's Childhood friend, Bu Sang Do, Wang Gyeong Tae and Cha Eun Woo, this trio are success to cracked me up by their behavior. Then Samdal residence, which work collague of Ko MiJa. They are women diver in Sam Dal, which is in real life they are culture heritage of Jeju Island.

Talking about Ji Chang Wook, I loved his character here. He is soft boy and like real. This is my favorite drama of Ji Chang Wook, I wish in the future he would be take a soft boy character again without vulgar scene like intensely kiss.

And I have to praise my favourite eonni, Shin Hae Sun due her acting and her choice of role never upset me. She doing well in every role she get and I can't wait her upcoming drama or movie.
