After winning the mayoral election by a landslide Cassie plans a family vacation but with a crime wave going on and a journalist causing trouble will the Russel family get the long sought after and needed vacation or will the family vacation be canceled.

Grandpa George gets news of an old friends death and starts feeling his age. What will bring him around to feeling like a useful member of the family?

Cassie's Foster mother shows up after she voices concern of being a good mother. The two of them but heads at first but then come to an understanding.

Brandon is away at college and gets stuck when his project files are corrupted making him have to redo it. Meanwhile Lori finds she is often on her own while Cassie and Jake are at work.

With everything that is going on in town Cassie contemplates stepping down as mayor but Martha convinces her otherwise.

When it is discovered who is behind the the thefts in Middleton will Lorie be the fall guy or will the true culprits come forward?

I think the characters are well acted and I love the way more areas of the town are shown. One of the quotes that I feel stick out is "...be careful what you believe because that is the world that you'll create for yourself." I also discovered during pypt that either some of the movies and or parts of the series were filmed in Canada.
