I am not really into American fantasy dramas. But I remember that my uncle was always watching a movie on his laptop, and he connected it to his TV. He likes watching American movies. Especially if the movie series genre is action.

When I was scrolling through the LokLok app to find something that I could watch again, I saw that there was this new release series, and I remembered my virtual friend's share post on Facebook, which made me curious about this movie series.

The title of this series is "House of the Dragon.". The new season has been airing since June 16, and of course, though I saw it on the new releases feature of the LokLok app, I decided to watch the first season of this series first before watching the new release so that I could understand the story.

I watched this series last week, and I finished watching all 10 episodes. I started to watch this series during the night of July 24, and I finished watching all 10 episodes at noon on July 25. You read it right. I didn't sleep because I became addicted to watching it. I didn't expect that this fantasy drama would be so good!

Anyway, since I am done watching the first season, I would like to share my personal thoughts, reactions, or something that I can say about this series I have watched. I know that I am 2 years late on the trend now, but don't forget that the new season was just released this year. hehe

There were some random things that I noticed while watching each episode.

At the beginning, I was amazed at how the director made the impossible scene realistic. The dragon looked so real, especially if they were flying, riding by the owner, or blowing a fire. The black horses, the castles, the costumes, and the extra people make me think of how much it costs them to put in the effort just to make this series successful.

If there is anything I admire about American movies, it is the skill of the directors in making movies because, here in the Philippines, they can't make something like this because they can just produce low-budget movies.

Unexpected Scenes.

There are many scenes in this series that I didn't expect that I could watch. Especially when a male character, the female character, and the other extra character are in one scene doing adultery things. I didn't expect that coming, and the worst part of my experience watching this series is that I am watching it at a loud volume, and my cousin looked at me with a shock look because she didn't expect what she heard. I'm glad that my grandparents didn't ask me what I was watching because I was just in our kitchen during that time.

Aside from this, There are also some scenes that I didn't expect, and one of them is. This scene.

I didn't expect that a kid would beg to be a wife at such an early age. But I am glad because I gave it some thought immediately that this series is about the past and that it's all about the history and life of monarchies. So... A thing like this before was normal to them because it's all about making their family members stronger and more powerful.

But you know what? While I am watching this series... I seem to have suddenly lost my morality in life because of these two. Like, at the beginning, when I saw them, especially in this scene. I thought at first that it was normal, but when I knew that the man was her uncle, I was stunned enough to speak. I lost my words. But I still want them to be together at the end because of the vibe they are giving me as a viewer. My Godness!

Bonus Points for me.

Aside from the characters's appealing roles, all of the characters's roles in this series make me feel like they're cool because they have their own missions, their own power to control something like situations, and their own way of acting. There are also some things that I like about this series, and that is that they still include or add some funny scenes, which I didn't expect. Which is making the viewers still enjoy watching despite the fact that this series focuses more on brutality and seriousness.

Why, when I watched this scene, did I understand what Syrax said to these guards? Maybe I am a dragon from my past life. Charought!

She's so cute, you know? She is a moody dragon because she doesn't want to hunt for herself, she doesn't like to fly in bad weather conditions, and I can tell that she is the most spoiled dragon. Because she was the pet of the next heir to the throne. Every time that I see this dragon, I can't help but enjoy her cuteness, though I am scared to see a real dragon in real life. Haha

Final Thoughts.

Okay! I finished watching all 10 episodes of this series. I can't believe that I became addicted to watching this because I enjoyed it. From the story, character, and everything, it's almost perfect! And I actually started watching the first episodes of the second part of this series after I finished the first one. But! I didn't continue watching it because I was spoiled on TikTok, which is what I am regretting—watching some content videos about this series, which led me to watch an unexpected spoiler video. I don't know when I will watch the second part of this series because I am still preparing myself for what will happen on Targaryen's.

And I just realized after doing some research on this series that House of the Dragon was a prequel to Game of Thrones, which is also a little bit of a familiar series for me. I was wondering if I would watch this first or continue watching Part 2, but I was scared because I didn't want the story in my mind to be ruined.

So... This is all I can say about this series.
