“Truth” Vs The Truth - Movie Review
Movies are a great way to have a nice time and make memories. You can make memories on your own while watching or making memories with others with whom you watch movies with. I guess I have always been a fan of movies more than I always agreed to. I watch more movies now but before I had access to my own gadgets and means of accessing movies, I always thought I was not a big fan of movies. Maybe my choice in my favorite movie will say how much I have liked movies.
To pick one movie I can call my favorite is not an easy choice. There are quite a number of movies and series I can put on repeat for the whole day. I am one that I can have new movies on my personal computer or mobile phone but I would leave the new movies and watch the ones I have finished already which are nice for me. I like movies with great story line and ones that are fun and have great acting. The movies I can watch over and over again include, the vampire diaries, let it shine, Avatar; the last air bender, the big bang theory and game of thrones. Maybe there are others but these are the ones on top of my head.
If I am put on the spot with a gun to my head, I think I would go for let it shine. I have literally watched this movie for a full day before. That happened last year around November or December. I just laid bored on my bed with no interests that day looking for something to watch. I binged that movie the entire day. For those who have not watched, it is a movie that involves a lot of singing.

It is a story about 2 friends; Chris and Cyrus who have known each other since they were little and are practically brothers. Chris is a very good dancer and Cyrus is a very good singer / rapper. When their kindergarten school mate Roxie announces a contest where the winner of the singing contest will have a chance to record a song with her, both friends decide to enter.
Cyrus writes and records an exceptional piece but he makes a mistake when submitting a picture of him. The mistake is followed and Roxie announces Chris as the winner instead of Cyrus. Both boys know who the actual winner is but Chris pleads with Cyrus to help keep it a secret so he could make the moves on Roxie. The story begins from here as they try to hide the truth and try to turn playboy non singer Chris into a good singer. She doesn’t actually use a name because Cyrus names himself as “Truth” and says he’s from the streets.
Without giving much away so that those who haven’t watched still can, Roxie and Cyrus become very close and she starts having second thoughts.
Remember Cyrus is a preacher’s boy but because his dad is very against rap, he hides his rap and his work in the bar from him till of course daddy finds out. Dad is pissed and grounds him. However, his mom is able to make him have an open mind. Cyrus decides to end the ruse and Chris sides with him.

On one of their biggest nights, the truth comes out in a very beautiful musical display. Roxie is left heartbroken after being deceived and decides to stay away from both boys. Before she leaves, something happens. Watch to find out what happens hehe. I think I have given out so much already.
So, yeah if you are a movie person and also into songs, this is a great movie for you. I do not think I have come across who have watched this and did not like it. Let it shine is one of my favorites. I would like to know yours and what you think about mine.

Let it shine was my best best at the time. I loved the church moments with his dad.
I cannot even forget the rap battles...damn! Very intense.

Hehe, sometimes it's just better to watch that which you are sure will give you euphoria other than taking a risk on the one you're not sure of.... I can relate to this even though I don't do it because I read about movies before watching them😂
