My fault~The review

My fault! Your fault! Then comes the big question: "Whose fault is it?" I'll pause for a moment before continuing this review. "I paused for a few minutes and then had to continue." Okay, now it's time.

My friend posted a review of this movie on her WhatsApp status, giving it a very negative rating. It grabbed my attention, and I was eager to know the reason behind her disapproval, so I decided to give it a try—not that I'm drawn to poorly-rated movies.

I won’t lie; I was hoping for some connection like the movie “After” sbut unfortunately, this film didn't give off that vibe. I felt lost throughout the movie—maybe my expectations were too high, or perhaps they had to cut parts to save me from disappointment.

The Plot
The movie follows Noah and her mother, who move in with her new husband, millionaire Williams. Noah is unhappy with her mother's decision, as she has to leave everything behind, including her boyfriend and best friend.

Noah is frustrated by Mr. Williams's lavish lifestyle and wants no part of it. After moving in, she has a rocky introduction with her supposed stepbrother, Nick. During the first family dinner, Noah and Nick get into an argument, leading them to leave the dinner earlier than expected.

As they live under the same roof, various incidents occur, revealing more truths and conflicts. Over time, Noah and Nick develop feelings for each other, but their parents disapprove of the relationship because they are step-siblings. The parents try everything possible to keep Noah and Nick apart.

My View
First of all, I sensed that Noah's mom genuinely loves Nick’s father, despite being attracted to his wealth. There seems to be a hint of real affection between them.

Imagine your mother is marrying someone, and you, as the child, find yourself falling in love with your mother's husband's child. I’m not sure I articulated that correctly, but I understand that such feelings can sometimes be unavoidable. However, taking it to an extreme while living under the same roof is quite complicated.

At some point in the movie, I felt uncertain about whose relationship to root for. I didn’t know whether to support the parents or the children (the step-siblings), and I wasn't feeling a genuine connection between Noah and Nick. Although they shared some eye contact, it felt more like they were giving each other a "bombastic side eye" instead of the romantic gaze I expected.

As for the cast, they were all attractive, and the roles seemed to suit them well. However, I was hoping for deeper emotional connections; even if it wasn't perfect, I wanted the audience to feel the love between them.

At times, I found myself wishing that the children’s relationship would fall apart so that the parents could be happy because the love between the parents felt more authentic. The support portrayed in their relationship was notable.

I also thought the parents love were more genuine than the kids. I also think the kids were just attracted to each other sexually and nothing more..... I'd rate this movie a 0/10 because it's total trash and It felt so weird that their parents supported them.
Anyways, part two is out tho 😅

Yeah. The movie is so annoying.

The parent's is more genuine, and the part two was even more terrible.

Really! I don't even plan on watching it, thanks for the heads-up 😅

It's very easy to develop affection when you're in the same roof with the opposite sex for real and once you're not sharing same parents with the person, it gets all complicated as to why you can't so I do understand Noah and Nick

Relationships are always stress, lol
I do love the movie's name, it's catchy

The name is catchy till you watch it, you will be disappointed. Having feelings is normal but then your stepbrother
