Tenía en mi lista de películas para ver, Un dolor real, ganadora de varios premios en la temporada de premios pasado sobre todo arrasando en la categoría de mejor actor de reparto para Kieran Culkin por su personaje en la película, la verdad me tenía con mucha curiosidad ver su trabajo de actuación y después de ver la película quedé en shock por lo mucho que logra transmitir sin mucho, creo que para los actores es una de los trabajos más difíciles transmitir sin decir, no sé si me entiendan pero después de ver la película pude entender por qué halagaron su interpretación.

I had on my list of movies to see, A Real Pain, winner of several awards in the last awards season especially sweeping in the category of best supporting actor for Kieran Culkin for his character in the film, the truth had me very curious to see his acting work and after watching the movie I was shocked by how much he manages to convey without much, I think for actors is one of the most difficult jobs to convey without saying, I do not know if you understand me but after watching the movie I could understand why they praised his performance.

David y Benji Kaplan tenían un viaje pendiente que fué petición de su abuela antes de morir, estos dos chicos son primos pero se nota que la vida adulta los ha hecho distanciarse un poco, cada uno según sus necesidades buscaron un poco de tiempo para viajar a Polonia a la ciudad natal de su abuela y aprender un poco más de lo que fué la experiencia del holocausto del cual su abuela fué sobreviviente por qué se fué a los estados unidos, sin duda un hecho doloroso y traumático, estos primos no lo saben pero este viaje será tan importante para los dos y los hará unirse un poco más, la premisa de la película es sencilla y un poco lineal pero las actuaciones lo son todo.

El personaje de Benji es quizás el más importante de la película pero que no sería nada sin su contraparte, Benji nunca dice que la está pasando mal y que quizás su vida se ha derrumbado tras la perdida de su abuela, pero lo puedes sentir, ese dolor que se siente pero no se dice, es un personaje un poco odioso algunas veces pero que es sincero y que dirá lo que siente en el momento, y es muy loco por qué sabes que no lo está pasando bien pero se hace el fuerte, es un personaje que tiene muchas capas y que llegue a amarlo y odiarlo al mismo tiempo, también una mención a Jesse Eisenberg quién hizo un excelente trabajo de dirección y actuación.
