haciendo cámara en un vídeo clip - making camera in a video clip (ESP/ENG)
Saludos amigos hivers y compañeros de Bellas Artes. Hoy les contaré sobre una experiencia laboral de la semana pasada, en la cuál me entusiasmó muchísimo participar.
Hace tiempo me contactó una vieja amiga de la universidad, Massiell y yo nos conocimos al inicio de la carrera en UNEARTE, hace 6 o 7 años ya de eso. Me comenta que tiene en puerta la propuesta de realizar un vídeo clip para la escuela de música Audioline Yamaha, a su vez, este vídeo clip sería realizado para la postulación de un grupo de estudiantes, en un festival de Yamaha.
Greetings friends hivers and fellow Fine Arts students. Today I will tell you about a work experience last week, in which I was very excited to participate.
Some time ago I was contacted by an old friend from the university, Massiell and I met at the beginning of the career in UNEARTE, 6 or 7 years ago. She told me that she has a proposal to make a video clip for the music school Audioline Yamaha, this video clip would be made for the application of a group of students in a Yamaha festival.
En primera instancia me pareció brutal la propuesta, quien pensaría que luego de 7 años nos reencontraría el ámbito laboral. anteriormente ya habíamos trabajado juntas, pero en un cortometraje para la universidad, por lo que es muy bonito ver la evolución de ambas.
Ella me comentó que necesitaba a alguien en la dirección de fotografía, y me propuso hacer la cámara de este video clip. La pauta sería en Hard Rock Café y consistía en grabar a una banda de Rock sobre la tarima de este local, de inmediato me puse a investigar sobre como era el espacio, y era justo lo que tenía en mente, este es un lugar bastante oscuro, la tarima evidentemente contaba con iluminación pero no nos serviría a la hora de iluminar a cada uno de los músicos.
At first I thought the proposal was brutal, who would have thought that after 7 years we would meet again in the work environment. We had worked together before, but in a short film for the university, so it is very nice to see the evolution of both.
She told me that she needed someone in the direction of photography, and proposed me to do the camera for this video clip. The guideline would be in Hard Rock Café and consisted of recording a Rock band on the stage of this place, I immediately started to investigate how the space was, and it was just what I had in mind, this is a pretty dark place, the stage obviously had lighting but it would not help us when it came to illuminate each of the musicians.
Entonces de inmediato pedí apoyo a mi amigo @mundomanaure quien nos acompañó en todo momento, e hizo un magnífico trabajo en la iluminación de este videoclip. Lo bueno de trabajar con personas que ya conoces, es que fluye muy bien la comunicación durante la pauta, esto nos facilitó muchísimo las cosas, la sinergia como equipo estaba presente.
Ésta fue una pauta bastante planificada, de hecho nos apegamos al guión técnico que realizó la directora. Primero se iluminó la tarima para el plano Master de todos los músicos, Manaure se encargó de indicar al jefe de la iluminación de la tarima como se quería la iluminación, mientras Massiell y yo verificabamos todo en la càmara. Para realizar este plano general faltaba un músico, así que se decidió empezar a grabar los planos de cada uno de ellos.
Then I immediately asked for support to my friend @mundomanaure who accompanied us at all times, and did a great job in the lighting of this video clip. The good thing about working with people you already know, is that communication flows very well during the pattern, this made things much easier for us, the synergy as a team was present.
This was a very planned pattern, in fact we stuck to the technical script that the director made. First the stage was lit for the Master shot of all the musicians, Manaure was in charge of indicating to the stage lighting chief how we wanted the lighting, while Massiell and I checked everything on the camera. To make this general shot one musician was missing, so we decided to start recording the shots of each one of them.
Con cada uno de los músicos empezábamos desde los planos más abiertos a los más cerrados, de esta forma Manaure iluminaba en principio cada escena y era mucho más fácil hacer pequeñas modificaciones en la luz para los planos detalles. Así fuimos con cada uno de los músicos y al terminar con todos, grabamos el plano master. Realmente fue una pauta bastante rápida, en dos horas ya aviamos concluido.
With each of the musicians we started from the most open to the most closed shots, this way Manaure lit each scene in the beginning and it was much easier to make small modifications in the light for the detail shots. That's how we went with each of the musicians and when we finished with everyone, we recorded the master shot. It was really a very fast pattern, in two hours we were done.
Me comentaba mi amigo Manaure sobre la importancia de hacer ejercicios audiovisuales y es totalmente cierto, solo la práctica te da la experiencia para resolver situaciones en set que tienen que ver menos con la teoría y más con la técnica.
Me siento bastante conforme con el resultado que logramos, todo estaba perfectamente iluminado y bien encuadrado, seguimos al pie de la letra las indicaciones de la directora, que además es músico, cosa que le permitió abordar esta pauta como pez en el agua y todo salió excelente, realmente tuvimos muy pocas complicaciones.
Nos trataron muy bien en el lugar, me quedó tiempo para apreciar lo bonito que es ese espacio, tenía bastante tiempo queriendo conocerlo y el arte me trajo hasta aquí. De verdad me siento agradecida por esa experiencia y por compartirla con buenos amigos. Hasta acá mi post de hoy querída comunidad, espero que les haya agradado, les mando un fuerte abrazo.
My friend Manaure told me about the importance of doing audiovisual exercises and it's totally true, only practice gives you the experience to solve situations on set that have less to do with theory and more with technique.
I feel quite happy with the result we achieved, everything was perfectly lit and well framed, we followed to the letter the instructions of the director, who is also a musician, which allowed him to approach this pattern like a fish in water and everything went excellent, we really had very few complications.
We were treated very well in the place, I had time to appreciate how beautiful this space is, I had wanted to know it for a long time and art brought me here. I really feel grateful for that experience and for sharing it with good friends. So far my post today dear community, I hope you liked it, I send you a big hug.
