I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog to keep track of all my activity. I enjoyed it and continued afterward trying to build better habits and find a good balance between health, fitness, work, entertainment, and my personal life...

Movie #34 Oslo August 31st (7.2/10)

This was another movie I got to learn about from the Karsten Runquist Youtube video (Link) with a list of his favorite movie from each year since 1997. The reason I choose this one was because it was already quite late so I needed a movie with a short lenght at 90 Minutes for this one. It is a Norweigian movie from 2011 with lots of talking and a pretty serious topic. So watching this one in the evening while needing a short movie probably wasn't the best idea and also didn't really help my overall appreciation of it. Multiple times, I had to rewind because I dropped focus while I didn't want to waste a movie I otherwise would have really liked.

The story can be summarised like this "Anders is a recovering drug addict in an Oslo rehab clinic. On 30 August, he is given a day's leave to attend a job interview in the city center. After visiting his friend Thomas, he proceeds to his appointment. In the interview, he admits to being a drug addict and storms out. He then wanders the streets of Oslo for the rest of the day and night, meeting, and sometimes confronting, people from his past. The film ends the next day, 31 August. Focusing on the decisions Anders has made with his time off"

My general tired state combined with the language barrier and a heavy topic didn't really help my enjoyment of it but I get why it's highly regarded and gets a 7.6/10 on imbd. The movie also apparently is part of some kind of Trilogy from the same director. I might one day watch the other 2. In a way the movie kind of reminds me of Aftersun which gets a similar score on IMDB but which I liked way more. Overall still for me still a 7.2/10

Yeah, can relate to picking the wrongest films when you just wanted something light. Good luck with your wellness tracking, man.
