Hello and welcome to the 10TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.

And it’s all simple. At the end of every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.

So, in no particular order, here are the authors spotlighted for this week:

Title: Love In Black and White

Some people might say that this film has no plot but I strongly disagree. They just don't look close enough. Malcolm & Marie is slow paced and doesn't immediately reveal its narrative arc. For action/thriller fans, this may appear boring but you need a little patience at this point to understand and appreciate the effort of writer and director, Sam Levinson. This film focuses on a man who loves his art and wants everyone around him, especially his girlfriend, to validate and support it as much.

Things became more complicated when Jun-mo’s(Jang Giho) marriage was put on the line. Yoon Eun-jeong later got to know her husband, Jun-mo was working undercover and at this time Jun-mo found out that Jung Ki-Cheol(his target) was his wife’s first love and that he still had feelings for her.
Jung Ki-Cheol not knowing Yoon Eun-Jeong was married to Giho(Junmo), an undercover, started taking steps towards rekindling things between him and his unrequited first love…

Title: Bridgerton Season 3: Book Is Better

Bridgerton.jpg

Firstly, from the book, the trope is friends to lovers but in the show we got enemies (hateful) to lovers between Colin and Penelope. This alone, made the whole storyline and main motive of the show to be lost in a myriad of subplots. Not following the book gives room for the two main characters to be different. I mean, the book Colin was a kind, gentle, supportive, and intuitive character but the show’s Colin was insensitive, emotionally dull, not supportive and not intuitive.

Title: Pirates of the Caribbean

Now I'm not saying that the movie is bad. No, it wasn't, it just wasn't as interesting and gripping as the previous ones. The costumes and CGI were incredible for that year. The cast wonderful, writing was good too. The major problem was that the pace was way too fast. It seems as though the director was filming like the camera was a rental or something. The fast pace made the climax weak as compared to others. The action and fighting scenes were minimal and there wasn't much emotion for me to give as every scene is passing by quickly.

Picture this... A hearing and speaking impaired girl falls in love with a high spirited boy, the boy falls harder, got into an accident and loses his hearing. Yes, the series could make you fall in love and learn sign language in the sweetest way as they both tries to communicate with each other. The duo had this total control of the hearts of their viewers as they got to know each other, accept their feelings and make the feelings known to each other even in music, that scene still lives rent free in my head.

Title: Bad Boys IV

One of the things I like most about this duo is seeing the chemistry they convey, especially when they sing their legendary Bad Boys song, which when they do it's as if they are both triggered into action. The best part is that the two of them, just as they look in the movies, they look the same in real life and that can be appreciated in every scene. I imagine that's why they have stayed together through time and their fans like me, every time we see a movie released together, we get ready to have a good time because we know that this duo will deliver the best of both of them again.

Title: Ambulance

The obvious thing which is to make a strong deal with the cops. A simple deal of do not follow us or we kill the hostages. We do not want to see a car or helicopter or sniper, nothing! If we as much as sight any of your men we'll kill the hostages. Very simple deal! Yet this movie had these guys with two hostages in the van and they were only focused on running away till the end - a very long time!

And there you have it! Congratulations to all those spotlighted this week. We look forward to more exceptional content. And to everyone posting in the community, we look forward to seeing more of you around.
