Dear CineTV Community,

We hope had a lovely Valentine's Day, whether you spent it with your significant other, friends, or family. While we don't have any community news to share in this edition of our newspaper, we want to remind you that there are plenty of other things to explore and enjoy.

In this issue, you'll find information about our latest contest, as well as updates on our popular CineKids and Writing Prompts sections. You can also check out Frey's Findings for the latest industry news and gossip. And don't miss The Movie Star of the Week feature, where we shine a spotlight on a different actor or actress each issue. Plus, we've got previews of upcoming movies and some juicy celebrity gossip. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest edition of the CineTV Community Newspaper!

Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to flex those rom-com muscles! It's time for our latest contest, where we'll be crowning the ultimate champion of all things lovey-dovey and cheesy.

That's right, we want to know everything about your favorite romantic comedy. Is it the classic tale of boy-meets-girl in "When Harry Met Sally?" Or perhaps you prefer the laugh-out-loud hilarity of "Bridesmaids" or "The Proposal?" Whatever your favorite romantic comedy is, we want to hear about it, especially WHY that particular one is your favorite romantic comedy!

If you haven't send in your entry yet, you have a few days to get it in and maybe grab yourself some CINE. I wish you all good luck on this contest. Don't forget!

The submission deadline is 21st February, 2023, 11:59 PM, UTC time.

Ah, the good old days of childhood. This week @thisismylife takes us all back to when life was simpler and movie soundtracks were just as epic as the movies themselves. Who could forget the haunting melody of the "E.T. Theme," or the toe-tapping tune of "The Muppet Show Theme Song?" And let's not even get started on the infectious catchiness of "The Lion King's" "Hakuna Matata."

A lot of the soundtracks from children's movies of the past were truly iconic. From "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" to "Aladdin," each movie had its own unique sound that made us feel like we were part of the adventure.

If you hadn't read the blog yet, you can do so by clicking here. Sit back for a little moment of joy, and relive your own precious childhood memories.

And there was also time to provide some new background stories for the many writing prompts. So if you're still in need of some extra blog-struggling-day inspiration, don't worry! CineTV has got you covered!

Of course you all know how it goes, it's time for Frey's Findings, our youth magazine! And, like every week, it's filled with the latest and biggest trends from the entertainment world.

Whether you're a fan of the latest Netflix shows or looking for inspiration from the coolest YouTubers, this magazine has it all. The latest movies or the juiciest gossip, you name it and Frey knows where to find it. The perfect mix of entertainment and gossip, all tailored to today's youth!

If you're ready for a little break now, grab a cup of coffee and go into the relax mode. Enjoy the latest Hollywood gossip.

  • Hold onto your hats, folks, because Ryan Reynolds has spilled the beans on how Blake Lively is handling life with baby number four. Apparently, she's rocking it like a superhero, but let's be real, four kids is like trying to herd cats while riding a unicycle. Reynolds also couldn't resist making a dad joke about dressing up in matching outfits with his new son. Not sure how you think about it, but IF having four kids is anything like having four dogs then I sympathize with Blake Lively and wish her the best of luck in the years to come.

  • it looks like the drama in the Presley family is heating up after the passing of Lisa-Marie. Priscilla Presley and granddaughter Riley Keough are reportedly not speaking to each other over issues related to the trust. It seems to be a sad but true reality. Who will come out on top in this battle of wills? Will they settle their differences? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: the Presley family drama takes no break, not even during times of grief.

  • And how about Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones? They are still going strong after all these years. Who would have thought that their marriage would last this long, especially considering Catherine reportedly didn't expect it to? But hey, they're still together and they're not afraid to show a little love, as evidenced by their cute photo at the Ant-Man premiere. It's like watching two teenagers in love, except these teenagers are in their 70s and 50s. But hey, age is just a number, right? Here's to many more years of surprising longevity in this Hollywood marriage!

I am very curious about your personal opinions about the actors and actresses that we see so often on the big screen (well, mostly TV screen).

As you know by now, it is important not to write film reviews. That's NOT what this challenge is about. It is precisely about your personal stories, why you like or do not like to watch that actor or actress. Why are you or are you not attracted to that actor or actress? And so there are many more things to think of that tell something personal.

This week we had one comment telling that there would come a blog, but I never found the blog. We also had @enginewitty again, he's on a roll. And then we had @nbarrios67 giving us a mix between a tiny bit of a personal meaning and a list of movies that Cameron Diaz starred in. Our own @papacrusher showed how simple it can be!

Both the comments met with the requirements, which makes me give away 100 CINE and 100 Ecency Points to @enginewitty, and to @nbarrios67. Congrats!

For next week this sets our balance to 200 CINE and 200 Ecency Points to give away!

Of coure, thanks to @ecency for generously sponsoring this fun challenge!

Are you all ready for the new challenge this week?

It's time for another Movie Star of the Week! This week's Movie Star is a zany and unpredictable actor who has kept us in stitches for decades. With his funny face, wild antics, and signature catchphrases, he's brought to life some of our most beloved comedy characters. From a clueless pet detective to a man trapped in a TV show, he's always managed to find the humor in even the most absurd situations. But let's be real, he's also given us some seriously strange moments that make us wonder what goes on in the mind of a comedic genius. Is he just playing with our heads, or is he genuinely that wacky all the time? We may never know, but one thing's for sure: I couldn't get enough of his crazy antics.

Despite his reputation for being a bit of an oddball, our Movie Star of the Week has proven time and again that he's a true talent in the entertainment industry. He made everyone laugh until our sides hurt, and he shown us that comedy can come from even the most unexpected places. But beyond his wacky persona, he also has taken on serious roles and showed us his range as an actor. For me he has showed it over and over again that he could keep me laughing, that he's talented and that I will love to see his movies again and again.

So now it's time for you! Give me your thoughts and feelings about our Movie Star of the Week!

HIDDEN BLADE

In the thick of World War II, as China struggles to fend off Japanese aggression, a fearless group of citizens bands together to launch a covert espionage operation right under the noses of the puppet regime. With their lives on the line, these daring double agents risk everything to gather classified intelligence from deep behind enemy lines, laying the groundwork for a united resistance that will ultimately turn the tide of the conflict. Against all odds, they outsmart their adversaries time and time again, navigating the murky world of espionage with skill and cunning. This incredible story of bravery and resilience is a testament to the enduring spirit of the Chinese people, and to the unsung heroes whose sacrifice and ingenuity helped secure victory in one of the most consequential wars in history.

we actually volunteered to watch our grandkids for valentine's day and are planning on celebrating it a bit late this wednesday night with a trip to our favorite all-you-can-eat sushi and korean bbq place!!!!

I have some severe mixed emotions when it comes to jim carrey. i fondly remember his humble beginnings on "In Living Color" where he brought such wonderful characters as Fire Marshal Bill and his immpersonation of Vanilla Ice. His earlier movies are were fresh and different than anything at the time. unfortunately, he made the misatke many entertainers do and they begin to put too much stock in our important they are to the world and become extremely polarizing by pushing their political agenda. they forget they are paid to entertain.

Jim Carrey. One of the best comedians of all time. Pet Detective I think was my first movie but noticed him as Fire Marshall Bill on In Living Color. My favorite movie he did was Dumb and Dumber. I laughed so hard watching that, I think I had to watch it about 5 or 6 more times to hear/see most of the jokes.

The first time I saw Jim Carrey was in a movie in the Dirty Harry series called Dead Pool, he was a rock musician who is murdered with a drug overdose, his performance really wasn't too long to judge. I remember seeing him in Peggy Sue Gor Married singing with Nicolas Cage. I had a video club and one of the movies I rented the most was Ace Ventura. I saw it, and for the sake of my finances I never told my customers that I didn't like it at all. However, that year, given my clients' preference for the actor, I managed to acquire The Mask and Dumb and Dumber. Dumb and Dumber was another disappointment for me, but in The Mask I did discover Carrey's comedic side, it was as if I was watching the characterization of a Cartoon.

I would highlight his dramatic performances in The Truman Show, Man on the Moon, and The Number 23. Among other comedies he was great in The Grinch, Liar Liar, Dick and Jane, Yes Man, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. His performance in Kiss Ass 2 was passable and I prefer to see him comedic and overacted as the macabre Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog and 2. He has participated in a TV series called Kiding, which I have not had the opportunity to see. This actor in many occasions reminds me of Jerry Lewis.

I knew that he had a sentimental relationship with singer Linda Ronstadt, married and divorced actresses Melissa Womer and Lauren Holly. He has been seen and related to Laurie Holden, January Jones, Anine Bing, Renée Zellweger and Jenny McCarthy. All this had cemented his reputation as a casanova.

Among his personal problems was the suicide of one of his partners Cathriona White, who left a letter in which she blamed Carrey for having been responsible for the end of the relationship. This fact unleashed in him a high level of depression which has affected him since 2015.
