Find Me Falling... What Sacrifices Are You Willing To Make?.... Cinetv Contest.
Falling.... Falling in love or falling off a cliff? You wouldn't know until you've watched this movie! If you’re looking for the one that breaks away from the usual trope and offers some very nice and refreshing twists that we all love, then "Find me falling" it is! I just loved the vibes of this pretty calm movie.
A light romantic comedy set against a Mediterranean backdrop, of the stunning visuals of Cyprus, the film stars Harry Connick Jr. as John Allman, a rock star who buys a little cliffside home in Cyprus, because he wanted to retire and live a solitary life, after a failed comeback album. There, he runs into an old flame Sia, played by Agni Scott, then an unexpected revelation happens.
Did John purposely go back to the Island knowing that he could get an opportunity to see Sia again and perhaps reignite the old flame? I should think so because he never stopped loving her and even had her name tattooed on his arm.
He bought that house on the hill in Greece, he doesn’t know at first that suicides happen as people jump off the cliff right in front of his adorable cottage, this part was a damper for me but not for long, I loved how John saved the daughter of the local police officer, from falling off like the rest.
I was sad at John's dilemma of a father who was kept in the dark, and the frustrations of the beautiful daughter who never knew about her Dad.
The musical "The Girl on the Beach," was very soothing to hear, no wonder it was a gigantic hit. I loved Sia, his love interest and her daughter, Ali Fumiko Whitney, such a nice, sweet and amazing voice. This movie highlights those things that make life more meaningful — family, communal living, pure humanity, gorgeous sceneries and good music. What can be better than these?
This movie really put a very solid smile on my face, especially the shenanigans of their grandmother, a very entertaining character.
A very warm cast, gorgeous views, sense of family that interconnects each and every one of them. I loved the music ya.. both in Greek and in English,
It brought joyful tears to my eyes.
This tender movie explores the themes of love, healing, and the power of second chances, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Cyprus.
FYI, I have added Cyprus to my list of destinations as soon as I can afford it. And I just hope falling in love is not falling off a cliff!
