Cine TV Contest #131 - Favorite Movie From Your Childhood
Every year at Christmas I can't miss watching Home Alone which I consider one of my greatest and most enjoyable childhood movies. Even though I've seen it dozens of times, the laughter and memories are as strong as the first time.
The story begins with Kevin McCallister, a mischievous kid whose large family always makes him feel unimportant, until one night on a vacation, they forget he's home alone! Here's where the fun part of the movie begins: Kevin, who's always been under the control of his family, suddenly finds himself completely free and begins to live life his own way, eating whatever he wants, playing whenever he wants, and watching adult movies!
But the story isn't just about freedom and fun as Kevin faces a major challenge when he discovers that two thieve are out to rob his house and here begin the legendary part that with his clever mind and ingenious inventions as Kevin turns the house into a fight making the thieves' lives hell with pranks and traps that are not only funny but also incredibly creative!
This film is not only funny, but also brilliant in its approach. There is not a single dull or boring scene; everything is carefully arranged to make you laugh and be excited. Kevin's method of executing his plans, the thieves' reactions, and even simple scenes like when he's scared of the basement or screaming in the mirror, all make the film a joy from first second to last.
Although the film is a comedy, there are moments that touched my heart, like when Kevin begins to feel truly alone and miss his family, or when he finally reconciles with his mother. These are the moments that make the film complete not just for laughs, but also a message about family and the warmth of Christmas.
