The story focuses on the events that occurred shortly after the attacks of September 11, 2001, when a group of US Special Forces soldiers were sent to Afghanistan to carry out a crucial mission in the fight against the Taliban regime and Al-Qaeda.
The plot follows Captain Mitch Nelson (played by Chris Hemsworth), who, after the attack on the Twin Towers, volunteers to lead a small team of 12 men, known as the ‘Special Forces Advisory Team’, tasked with working with the Northern Alliance warriors to overthrow the Taliban regime.

Despite a lack of resources and the initial distrust of the Afghan leadership, the team embarks on a dangerous and daring mission in hostile terrain.
As the story progresses, the soldiers face challenges both on the battlefield and in building relationships with their Afghan allies, led by commander Abdul Rashid Dostum (played by Navid Negahban).
The film shows the complexity of war, highlighting the importance of cooperation between US forces and Afghan warriors, as well as the sacrifice and bravery of soldiers in extreme situations.
The film alternates between intense combat scenes and more intimate moments, allowing viewers to connect emotionally with the characters.
It is a depiction of the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the early stages of the war in Afghanistan.
The film not only pays tribute to these heroes, but also raises questions about war, loyalty and the cost of conflict.
With strong performances and effective direction, it becomes a moving tribute to those who risked their lives in the name of freedom and justice.
