CineTv Contest #129 - Don't Move (2024) || Review
This week's prompt, thinking of which movie to make a review on as I love thrilling movies. Action movies, sci-fi and many more. I love movies that would keep me intrigued from start to finish and the one genre that really does that for me is horror movies. Not only the ones that give the eerie feeling but most especially one that is crime based.
I love that feeling of suspense knowing anything can happen whether good or bad. Most times I would have to keep reminding myself that most of these films are works of fiction so I won't keep jumping off my seat every time.
The movie I am choosing for this week's prompt is titled "Don't Move”.Hahaha, the title got to me too.
Plot
A grieving mother visited her son's grave and afterwards stood at the ledge of a mountain contemplating suicide as she couldn't get over the death of her son. There, she encounters a man who at first acted concerned and tried to talk her out of what she was about to do only to have him inject her with a paralytic drug afterwards which would render unable to move nor speak.
It was then she realized that he is a psychopathic serial killer. Knowing fully well they were in a place where nobody would be seen for miles. The killer believed he had won but little did he know that she was not ready to give him that satisfaction, so she ran for her dear life hoping that in some way or somehow she would get help before her body shuts down totally.
What I liked about the movie
I love the simplicity of the movie. It's not too complicated as it went straight to the point without beating around the bush.
The main actor and actress in the movie ; Richard and Iris (played by Finn Wittrock and Kelsey Asbille respectively) performances were very impressive.
I also love the tension in the movie, I was literally on the edge of my seat, rooting for her to survive. It was very thrilling.
Significant Lesson I Learned About The Movie
Despite the fact that she had intentions to commit suicide prior to the incident. I believe sometimes bad things happen for a reason and it manifests in the fact that her struggles for survival taught her to appreciate life more and move on from her grief.
This is a movie worth watching. I am giving it a rating of 8.5/10.
Thank you all for reading.

Hahaha please do.
Alright
I have similar tastes in movies, thrillers, and sci-fi,, which are my favorite genres.
I didn't watch this film, but it sounds like a thrilling one.
Do try watching this too if you can. You will enjoy it.
Thanks for sharing I will watch it.
I enjoyed this movie quite a bit, I liked the simple plot, the suspense of not knowing what would happen and the girl worked excellent. I didn't like the way Finn Wittrock played the psychopath, I think he could have done better, connect more with his dark side to give more depth to his character.
