PRESUMED INNOCENT// MOVIE REVIEW

One of the things about me is whenever I want to try out a movie, if the title does not really captivate or compelled me to have a try, it will be difficult for me to even view the movie and when I eventually view the movie, it now becomes so hard for me to enjoy the movie.

But that was not true with "Presumed Innocent". Hearing the title for the first time, I was already compelled to already start giving it a try because the title is tempting. I even use to enjoy those types of drama because any movie that will offer me this sense of justice, and power show is always entertaining for me.

Seeing the name most especially the aspect of innocence, it creates so much of curiosity I actually want to find out from. And trust me it didn't disappoint my expectations. The movie series has been acted from a novel that was written by Scott Turow. The series helps to give a massive show of ambition and it helps to show life of innocence and also life of guilt with it.

There is a major character in the movie that actually stands out and that is because it is the lead role. Jake Gyllenhaal as it is called. He acted Rusty in that series and I must say that he delivers his role effectively. I am a Nigerian who always loves when there is a good lead performance in a movie and I must say that Gyllenhaal gives that perfect role.

Watching that series, I must confess that I was able to resonate with it because the justice system in my country is filled with corruption and self interest and that is what the drama is majorly acted on. The fact that Rusty plays the lead character can help create a system to protect his rights and freedom in a system designed to be against him because the system is corrupted.

When you are watching the movie, I will regard the series as a slower acting movie. Well for others, they might regard it as a faster pace of movie. But I personally who is a Nigerian and which have been used to fast fast scene in movies, I regard Presumed Innocent as the slower one but I love it like that. It offers something different from the usual Nollywood I was used to because it helps to portray the depth of my story more effectively than before.

The movie create a system whereby no matter your cultural sense you came from, you will still enjoyed the series because there is no discrimination in the themes. Whether you are an African, Asia, European or whatever, the series is created that no matter your moral perspective, you will still enjoy the series.

As I conclude , I will also like to add that there are something's I believe they can still work upon in the movie. One of it certainly is the aspect of the scenes. Most of the time, I always feel the movie is filled with lot of legal scenes that dominate the series. I believe there can still be some scene that is not even legal related but will be fun. It can include scenes like romantic, jokes and many more.

As I conclude, I will say they really did a great job in Presumed innocent because it comes with strong performances that is heart touching. As a Nigerian I am, the series make me to know justice must be established in any system no matter how difficult it might be.
