Love for Ghibli

Hey, Hivers! 🐝 Welcome back to my blog. I want to share something that might be relatable to some of you. You know how we all go through certain obsessions, whether it’s anime, K-pop, or a specific movie franchise? Well for me it was (and still is) Studio Ghibli.

It all started during the pandemic. Those days were so boring honestly like I had nothing to do except scroll through Facebook all day and that’s when I started seeing a lot of posts about Ghibli movies. At first, I had no idea what “Ghibli” was, but I kept seeing these dreamy, cozy, and aesthetic-looking animations and I was instantly curious. The art style are so my style or vibe so I thought, why not give it a try?

The Secret World of Arrietty

The first Ghibli movie I ever watched was The Secret World of Arrietty, and to be honest I was instant hooked by this movie. The visuals, the atmosphere, the soft and comforting vibe, it was everything. Watching it felt like being wrapped in a warm blanket because the movie is really gentle and somewhat comforting. The characters were all so kind and gentle and I loved how peaceful the movie felt. But man I really wished a better ending though. I am hoping for season 2 cuz they both deserve each other (a happy ending) That was the moment I realized, Yep, I need to watch more of these!

Howl's Moving Castle

As I explored more Ghibli films, there is one movie completely stole my heart —Howl’s Moving Castle. This movie makes me giggle and kick my feet or whatever. This movie is simply majestic, it had everything I loved like romance, adventure, magic, and of course, Howl (major kilig!). The chemistry between Howl and Sophie was just perfect and the story itself was so unique. It made me feel things I didn’t even know I could feel over an animated movie! One of the peak anime films, I would definitely recommend it! 🫰🫰🫰.

Looking back, my Ghibli phase wasn’t just a phase, it became a huge part of me. Ghibli animations always had something unique. These movies aren’t just visually stunning; they make you feel something deep inside. They bring comfort, nostalgia, and a kind of magic that stays with you. The animation of studio Ghibli mesmerized me ever since then. These studio ghibli guys always setting the expectations in outer space for real, never seen more beautiful animation in anime 🤩

Well, I know the ghibli films mentioned above are just good starter packs to watch hehe
