Superman Legacy Update
The DCU reboot has been the talk for DC fans since James Gunn took over as the CEO of DC Universe. James Gunn has shared the first chapter of the new DC Universe which I wrote about a month ago, and I also remembered in that post I said Blue Beetle has been confirmed by James Gunn to be the first character of the DCU and Superman Legacy will be the first film of the new DC Universe.
Blue Beetle is just a month away from hitting the cinemas and in the coming days I will drop a post about the film and how it could shape the DC Universe, but today I will share with you the new development on the first DCU film Superman Legacy which James Gunn has personally taking charge of writing and directing the film.
James Gunn has already revealed the new cast for Superman and Lois in Superman Legacy. David Corenswet has been cast as the new Superman for DCU and Rachel Brosnahan will be cast as Lois Lane. I am not familiar with David Corenswet, and I have not seen any of the films he acted in, but rumours are flying around saying he is a good actor and I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
James Gunn is aware that this movie needs to boom and I am sure he thought carefully before choosing David Corenswet as the new Superman for the face of the DC Universe. Rachel Brosnahan is an amazing actress, she was featured in Blacklist and was the lead actress in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. James Gunn made the best choice in choosing her for the role of Lois Lane and I am sure she will give her best for the role.
James Gunn has made it clear that Superman Legacy won't have an origin story in the film, and I agreed with his decision. The Superman origin story has been shown a lot and I don't think there's anyone who doesn't know how Superman came to Earth and how Krypton was destroyed. The origin story is important to understand the direction of a movie but seeing the same thing over and over could give a bad view for DC fans who are still upset about the reboot and change of cast for the new DC Universe.
There is a lot of pressure on James Gunn and his team on the Superman Legacy film. It has to be a hit at all costs, and if these films fail to break out in the box offices it could be a huge problem for Warner Bros and the reboot plan. I trust James Gunn will do his best, we just have to wait and see. There is still a lot to be done and more updates will come up soon. I will do my best to keep you all updated on the film.

I sure don't want to hear the same old story about Clark and how he landed on Earth from Krypton after it was destroyed. Every single person knows that already. Something fresh, yet novel would be nice.

I really hope that new Film about Superman will rock and give us another level; more in-depth understanding of the "S" character.
I am fan of Comics and Super-Heroes but Superman there were too many different versions, some of which I didn't like. So I've kind of stopped keeping up with new series or films about it, except when I hear a good review.
