In recent years, we hear so much about the abuse of women thanks to the spread of the media reporting "out loud" the atrocious news that we all hear and read, previously hushed by vice and hidden within the walls of the home.
Some women, however, hurt themselves knowing they are hurting themselves.
Why should they drink to be happy?
Why should they drink for love?
But the real questions one should ask oneself are:
Why does one feel the need to drown oneself in alcohol?
Why is one resorting to a substance that stuns?
The film I am telling you about is about a love story put to a hard test and forced to make enormous sacrifices, but for love one does, right?
The couple featured in the film is close-knit, happy, they have two beautiful daughters. Everything is perfect, except for the dark shadow of alcohol that creeps, frame by frame, into the fabric of the story. It is alcohol, in fact, that is the real protagonist. The situations that arise are dramatic and to the outside eye totally unreasonable.
The film will show hardship, suffering but also rebirth and revenge.
Opening a small and personal parenthesis, I believe that behind addictions there is psychological suffering that originates in the birth family, so although the film tries hard and is quite successful in this, it is but the tip of the iceberg.

Il film di cui vi parlo tratta di una storia d'amore messa duramente alla prova e costretta ad enormi sacrifici, ma per amore si fa, giusto?
La coppia protagonista del film è affiatata, felice, hanno due splendide figlie. Tutto perfetto, tranne l’ombra scura dell’alcol che si insinua, fotogramma dopo fotogramma, nel tessuto della storia. È l’alcol, in realtà, il vero protagonista. Le situazioni che si vengono a creare sono drammatiche e ad un occhio esterno totalmente irragionevoli.
Il film mostrerà disagi, sofferenze ma anche rinascita e rivincita.
Aprendo una parentesi, piccola e personale, ritengo che dietro le dipendenze ci sia una sofferenza psicologica che ha origine nella famiglia di nascita, quindi, anche se il film ce la mette tutta e in questo è abbastanza riuscito, non è che la punta dell'iceberg.
