The Details
Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.
There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Revenge stories will always have my attention and even more if there is a big influence in Asian films where martial arts are a main reference and that's what this film offers which is the first feature film made by the German director and screenwriter, Moritz Mohr; at the beginning of the review I named the influence of John Wick in how to make impressive action scenes, but I think Mohr will have seen films directed by Gareth Evans and will have taken something and generated good and funny action scenes, just the element of comedy and its introduction in that kind of sequences I liked because they do not burst, it does not feel out of place, much less forced, they have a purpose and that's the positive thing about the work of Mohr as a director.

Then the life of the good character, who is the history teacher, is developed, he is shown in his work and his daily life sharing with his girlfriend, after meeting his double his peace is disturbed. Then comes the life of the other one, who is in a better economic position, works from time to time and has a wife who is pregnant, he has the economic and family stability that the other one does not have.

A couple of months ago I wrote a brief review in which I delved deeply into this aspect of the film, on that occasion, taking as a starting point the thematic similarities it had with whiplash (another Chazelle film that explored the search for success within the show business, although he approached it from a murkier angle).

This is an opinion of which many other viewers share. The build up horror lacked any movable substance. The bridge horror however, which involves a hypnosis performed by a guest who was in disbelief of any of the events being true, thus played on the crowd to prove how easy it is to trick the minds of people struck a few cords.

It contributes greatly to this point that despite the simplicity of South Park's animation style, Bigger Longer and Uncut represents a considerable improvement in terms of production over traditional episodes (especially if we take into account the technical limitations of the time compared to the today) and features several of the best gags that Parker and Stone have written during their entire careers.

Beyond the regrettable events that a war causes, such as deaths and the loss of peace, the film shows details of what a society that calls itself first world would suffer for the loss of its comforts and way of life, such as the value of its currency, which is the main factor of exchange in the world, collapses, giving way to other fiat currencies that would revalue, such as the Canadian dollar, those little details within the story stand out and make you think if you are paying close attention.

A truly interesting drama that spontaneously explores the various relationships of the protagonists and shows a glimpse of Japan where loneliness and ephemeral relationships are the norm while finding a deep connection is a rarity. A well-followed drama, with just a few episodes, I liked it precisely because of its very Japanese nature and not excessively fast pace, furthermore each girl is well characterized and various types of relationships are dealt with, then I was able to delve deeper into aspect of Japanese culture that I knew little about, that is, the one derived from the business of relationships. I highly recommend it!
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
Thanks for the mention guys <3
Keep up the good work. 👏🎵
