Alice in the Cities (1974): a beautiful cult road movie | una hermosa road movie de culto

In such a situation, it's inevitable to ask oneself: what would I have done in Philip's place? In today's world, perhaps the most sensible thing would have been to take the girl to the authorities and have them, the police, reunite the mother and daughter, but what consequences could that have for the mother? Wouldn't that be harming rather than helping? Of course, nowadays it's much easier to find someone thanks to the Internet, social networks, government databases, etc., but in 1974, when you could only call by phone, send telegrams and trust in the memory of a nine-year-old girl, perhaps it would not have been so easy to find the woman. But it's just as well, because the adventure of the two travellers leaves some very beautiful scenes such as the one in which Philip and Alice enter a booth that takes instant photos and we see the different expressions on both their faces, or the moment when, finally appreciating each other's company, they realise that they had both forgotten the objective of their entire pilgrimage. Set against the backdrop of a country divided by an infamous wall and the emptiness of a society in decline, exquisite photographic sequences, one journey after another, one city after another, and a charming protagonist, Alice in the Cities is an interesting and different alternative to most of the stories currently found on streaming platforms. Have any of you seen this film? What other one do you recommend from the director? I'll read you in the comments.

Fate leads the way for House of the Dragon season finale

Beyond the above that in itself is enough, I highlight her actress Phia Saban for the marked change of personality that gives her character, in that moment I think our Helaena perishes and who speaks is the evil God who plays like a spoiled child with the future of Rhaenyra and tells us his prophecies, I was in front of the pc stupefied at what I heard, so I loved the episode because not knowing anything about what will happen in the future with the story, all this shocks me pleasantly.

Guerra Sin Reglas: Una Historia de Héroes sin Capa

And so this group of 6 men and a woman, joined forces, skills, but, above all, their enormous thirst for revenge and justice for their relatives/friends fallen or kidnapped by the Germans who simply took it upon themselves to eliminate a few Nazis just because they could do it without following the rules. So you could say they gave them the opportunity of a lifetime, allowing them to bring out the worst in themselves and send those radical Germans back then to hell.

[ES-EN] Inspiradora Historia en el Filme: Cabrini 2024

This is an inspirational film in which we can extract several valuable lessons in just over two hours that, from my point of view, is worth watching. This is a dramatic film that shows us a story that few know about; in fact, I didn't know about it until I saw this film. Inspiring stories based on real life always have a better effect on us, especially when it is all based on good deeds to care for others.

The Boys: More bizarre than ever

Something I've always stressed about that story is that, that's what superheroes would be like in real life. Something that I really found tedious was the inclusion a little more than usual of politics, not that it's bad because it's an opener of the fifth season is something different. On the other hand unlike other seasons I felt a little different pace.

Película "Sala de Profesores" - Cuando buscar ser justo, puede llegar a ser injusto.

The film "Teachers' Lounge", nominated for Best International Film at the Oscars 2024, left me sensitized as far as being a teacher is concerned. It is a role that demands specific skills, in addition to teaching ability, such as empathy, negotiation, working under pressure, conflict resolution.... It involves not only knowing how to manage a class group, but also understanding that it is made up of people, in this case adolescents, with their respective personalities, needs and problems. But the role of the educator is only the tip of the iceberg, because the film will take us, along with the protagonist, to a place of bewilderment, accusations and recriminations, which will make us doubt even ourselves.

Vikingos: valhalla (Season 3) | Review

A series that sought to learn more about these characters so important to humanity and thus to know, since all this production was a great adaptation of what was those places, the people, the battles and give that touch of science fiction to it, because really little is known of its history and there is no record of those. Therefore all that adventure that we can find in this series will be unique and works very well as entertainment for all ages who have not yet seen a Viking.

Maxxine | Film Review

Mia Goth has done a lot of work in recent years, after X and its sequel she has been seen in other interesting productions and has established herself in the genre. Here she shows again her artistic skills, there are a couple of scenes that I liked a lot, her monologue in the casting is one of them. It should be remembered that here she is Maxine, the girl who had to survive those old X-killers. She tells herself she's a star and she won't rest until she gets it, whatever it takes.

A Review of Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper .

I told the story very briefly. This webseries has total 9 episodes. And you will enjoy every episode. The director presents a different picture of what a man can do for a living, for his family. Talking about the acting, I liked everyone's performance. Because I have not seen the performance of any of them before, it feels good to see something new. Much better than Etlist Mirzapur Part 3.If any of you have seen it please give your opinion. thank you.
