Sub-zero temperatures, eating only a can of tasteless soup, crying in total loneliness, and when somehow life tries to provide her with some love, accustomed to misery, and pain; she decides that a new love is not for her. This film is and ode to values that, personally, I thought were lost. Honour, fidelity, indomitable strength and kindness. This film is an act of love and love for Stoic philosophy. Clearly, it is not a mainsteam work but it is impossible to remain indifferent when watching it. It is one of those hidden gems in the Disney Plus catalogue that any film lover should see. It is impossible not to be reflected in the dialogue and the fighting spirit of the character played by Frances McDormand.

Violent Night is one of my favorite movies to enjoy at Christmas. This movie is, essentially, Die Hard. Only it's not the cop John MacClane who has to rescue the hostages, but Santa Claus. The bad guys kidnap a family to steal the money they have stored in a vault right on Christmas Eve. Now, Santa is depressed by the way the youth has stopped believing in Christmas and he's drunk, so he falls asleep in that house in a massage chair. That's when the bad guys arrive with automatic weapons, so Santa must defend himself by teaming up with one of the hostages: a girl who still believes in Christmas. This movie is full of dark humor and solid action choreographies. It's violent, holds nothing back, and yet, still has room to deliver a nice Christmas message in the end. I think David Harbour does an excellent job. That man is underrated. He has so much potential. And from what I could read, in early 2023 they greenlit a sequel to this action comedy, so there must be more people like me who think this movie is great.

This series is not only about love, it also shows us many problems like violence, depression, traumas and how to overcome each one of them, the more you advance in the plot it hurts a little more, there are things I would like to tell you but it would ruin the story.

I found the love story incredible and the couple had very good chemistry, and this is something important to highlight in this kind of romantic movies. The truth is that I saw several where I didn't feel that spark and that's why I didn't manage to connect with them so much, luckily it wasn't the case with this movie because the romance was very good.

The British actor Nicholas Hoult was the one who gave life to Justin Kemp, who to be honest did very well, the character was perfect for him, with a performance that from my point of view made him exceptional. I have seen him in other productions with leading roles, but this is one of my favorites. Toni Collette played the role of the physical Feith and also had an outstanding job in Jury #2. We also have others who play supporting characters, most notably J. K. Simmons, as a former detective who is also part of the jury and investigates more about what happened before making a decision, as he also doubts that the defendant is guilty.

The romance part wasn't lacking at all especially with the two being new at giving and recieving love to someone who goes in and out of their own world. The suspense and thrills will keep you wanting more until the last episode, I kept wishing it didn't had to end but I wanted to see the end. Yes, that feeling doesn't come from many series.

In the drama category I would say that between Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones' “The Brutalist”, Timothée Chalamet's “A Complete Unknown” and Fiennes' “Conclave” is the fight. Slightly I'm leaning towards the first one, that film is very top notch indeed. It may not seem like it but this year I feel that good films came out, the thing is that many of them are not as mediatically powerful as in other years so they did not generate much noise. In terms of actors and actresses I think the trend is the same, maybe Angelina Jolie or Pamela Anderson who played great roles in their respective films. In the same way, Adrien Brody is emerging as a winner in his category, I do not speak of the rest because it would be entering a dark room.
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
Thanks very much!
