Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.

The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

The Gilded Age/ Review

The scenery is beautiful, the houses, factories, transportation, one sees on screen the representation of the streets and houses of the late nineteenth century and not only those of wealthy families, also recreates the reality of the poor, the colored elite, families and customs in the south, among others.

Fiesta de Navidad en la Oficina | Reseña

On the other hand, I love Jennifer's performance in this movie, she is great in rough roles hahaha, and well, she doesn't lose her grace and comedy. Jason Bateman also participates, I like this actor a lot, in comedies like this he gives that touch of serenity and madness at the same time. The plot is good and funny, but it's also kind of "it can't be" hahahaha.

Cien años de Soledad | Review

Every time I think of this play, I remember the first time I read it. I was on carnival vacation with my family. That year we were going to camp on the banks of a river, in a small village in the state of Bolivar, where not even electricity was available yet. To cross to this place you had to cross a wooden bridge or do it in a canoe, either way was a risk. I remember the afternoons lying down reading in a Chinchorro in the ranchera of the mud house where we stayed, while the smoke from the kitchen permeated the place. The only thing that could be heard in the surroundings were the sounds of the jungle. Little did I know that I was marking an immersive experience as I read how the Buendia's crossed the swamp.

MOVIE REVIEW: “Asteroid City” (2023)

Technically, there are positive points that must be recognized here, such as the vibrant soundtrack (especially if you like a really “rawer” harmonic sound) and the construction that is full of small details in relation to the “picturesque” scenarios (the dynamism of the locations is what ends up helping to turn the project into something with a minimum level of quality). On the other hand, in other technical aspects, such as the editing of scenes, the project fails because it becomes confusing in its attempts to evoke a kind of temporal “metaverse” (supported by the play, which is fictional).

Sweet Girl (2021)

In conclusion, I'd say it's a film that aims high, blending personal tragedy with action and social critique. While it features strong performances and gripping action sequences, its uneven pacing and polarizing twist prevents it from fully standing on its potential. It’s an emotional watch, especially for fans of Jason Momoa, but its narrative shortcomings might leave you unsatisfied.

SCREAM VI --- Now that's a slasher movie!

Classic slasher movies like these are way better than some of the new ones. I guess the last slasher movies I enjoyed were the Fear Street franchise which my cousins and I watched during last year's Christmas. And we're looking forward to watching the fourth movie soon.

As well as we will also see the development of the cases, showing that sometimes what looks so simple is not, a good lawyer must see even the smallest thing and understand the pros and cons that can be generated, not always assume or blindly trust your client, although by ethics must support until the end to which they defend, sometimes the duty to justice can go above it. Similarly the fact of not assuming that because a public figure enters into a scandal everything is true what they say about that person, fame can have its good parts, but also those that in the end simply harm more.

[ENG/ESP] 💅✨Review y Fan art de "Anora "✨💅Review and Fan art of "Anora"

Anora is a piece of art, that in two and a half hours immerses you so much in the tension, comedy and action between the dialogues, that you barely register when you have already finished it. It has a frenetic pace where it creates tension, with moments where situations get out of control and increase and increase ↗️↗️↗️, to be cut out of nowhere and continue with a calm scene, so you are at all times on the edge of seeing the spectacle that is happening, and you have a spectacular time hahaha, I feel that one does not know how everything is going to end but the situations seem to get worse and funnier and that causes you to get hooked a lot on the mood of the movie, another thing that it does very well is create a very specific atmosphere and aesthetics that envelops you in this whole story, as such we see this world of strippers and sex workers, and contrasting with the scenario of wealth and extravagance of a rich and spoiled boy like Vanya, who seems to have always had everything he wanted, and who is far from Anora and her sad and humble life, always with a false energy that she uses to get clients. And of course the jewel of the film that is Anora as the protagonist, is the definition of "protagonist energy" 💅✨ hahaha, she is so energetic, diva and at the same time lonely and tired, but you can see that she is trying at every moment to plot what follows to obtain her objectives that she is too hypnotic to watch, it is inevitable not to empathize with her and want her to come out unscathed from this whole affair.
