Hello, friends of the Movies & TV community. I hope you're all feeling well today. Recently, I watched a Disney short film entitled "Far from the Tree ", and as always, it left me with a lump in my throat. Despite its short length of only 7 minutes, it conveys a powerful message that resonates with people of all ages, especially those who are parents or are considering having children.

La historia sigue a un mapache y su pequeño hijo, quienes pasan sus días entre la playa y el bosque. Desde el principio, se puede notar que el mapache adulto enfrenta un gran dilema: su miedo a que su hijo se lastime o incluso sea atacado por otros animales. Este temor se ve reflejado en una cicatriz en su rostro, resultado de una pelea que le dejó una profunda huella, tanto física como emocional. Su miedo se convierte en un obstáculo que impide que su hijo explore y forme su propio mundo.

The story follows a raccoon and his young son, who spend their days between the beach and the forest. From the beginning, you can see that the adult raccoon faces a big dilemma: his fear of his son getting hurt or even attacked by other animals. This fear is reflected in a scar on his face, the result of a fight that left a deep mark on him, both physically and emotionally. Her fear becomes an obstacle that prevents her son from exploring and forming his own world.

As the little raccoon grows up, he also becomes a father. History repeats itself: the son, curious by nature, wishes to venture into the forest and onto the beach. However, the father raccoon, without the need for words, warns him about the dangers of the outside world, showing his scar as a reminder of the wounds he has suffered. This wound is not only physical, but has also scarred his mind.

Los efectos visuales y la animación son simplemente hermosos, capturando de manera auténtica la relación entre el mapache y su hijo. A través de sus aventuras, se revela un ciclo generacional que es el mensaje más importante de la historia: cómo transmitimos nuestros miedos y traumas a nuestros hijos, permitiendo que crezcan con las mismas inseguridades que nosotros.

The visual effects and animation are simply beautiful, authentically capturing the relationship between the raccoon and his son. Through their adventures, a generational cycle is revealed that is the most important message of the story: how we pass on our fears and traumas to our children, allowing them to grow up with the same insecurities as we did.

Todo padre desea proteger a su hijo y evitar que sufra, pero en la vida real, esto es inevitable. Siempre enfrentaremos situaciones que nos lastiman y generan miedo. Sin embargo, podemos buscar la raíz de nuestros propios temores y sanar esas heridas para que no se repita el ciclo con nuestros hijos. Aunque es un desafío, desde el amor es posible. Every parent wants to protect their child and prevent them from suffering, but in real life, this is inevitable. We will always face situations that hurt us and generate fear. However, we can look for the root of our own fears and heal those wounds so that the cycle does not repeat itself with our children. Although it is a challenge, from love it is possible. The little raccoon achieves this with his own son, showing him that, despite his wounds, his only desire is to take care of him.

Tanto el abuelo como el pequeño mapache aprenden que es posible salir al mundo y vivir sin estar constantemente atemorizados por lo que pueda suceder. Este fue el mensaje que me dejó el corto. La forma en que se refleja la historia es excelente y me llenó de emoción, tanto que hasta lloré. Recordé por qué, en ocasiones, no disfrutaba de los cortos de Disney: tienen una manera única de tocar fibras sensibles y hacerte llorar a mares.

Both the grandfather and the little raccoon learn that it is possible to go out into the world and live without being constantly afraid of what might happen. This was the message that the short film left me with. The way the story is reflected is excellent and filled me with emotion, so much so that I even cried. I remembered why, at times, I didn't enjoy Disney's short films: they have a unique way of touching the heartstrings and making you cry your eyes out.

Les recomiendo encarecidamente que vean este corto con atención. Aunque no hay diálogos, las acciones hablan por sí solas. Es especial ver cómo Disney transmite mensajes tan importantes sobre romper ciclos generacionales y mejorar respecto a nuestros antepasados. Espero que lo vean y me cuenten qué les pareció. 🩵

I strongly recommend that you watch this short film carefully. Although there is no dialogue, the actions speak for themselves.
