Well this is disappointing but not surprising to see. I saw this pop up on my radar recently and started to watch it late at night. too late in fact, and switched it off. I'll probably still watch it but it being a carbon-copy of a lot of other plot devices doesn't really wow me. We'll see.

I also saw the first 30 minutes and stopped watching it 😂, I was thinking of leaving everything like that and look for another movie, but I was motivated to finish it and it was when the action scenes started, as I said in the review, they reminded me of video games from 2000.
The screenwriter Zach Dean, is very bad, he is an unoriginal writer and I know that because of the movie Tomorrow's War or something like that is called the movie and just this Apple TV+ film, repeats many things, in the story, strange creatures, an obvious explanation and the rest is a copy of many other things; the only good thing is the casting.
I recommend watching The Gorge because it is a film to pass the time, nothing more and I think it can work for couples who like romance and some action.
